All is perfect there!
There were a lot of things to really like about this hotel! The room was very large and had an amazing view. We really enjoyed the breakfast and the ricotta chocolate cake was one of my best bites of the trip! You could tell the staff really tried hard to make the beach clean in front of the hotel, which was appreciated.
The location was perfect. We really enjoyed walking into town but also being away from the parties on the weekends.
As others have mentioned this beach has a lot of seaweed and its not the most appealing. The hotel was actively trying to clear it and make sure there was enough sand, and you could tell they were the only hotel doing that!
The beds/pillows were extremely uncomfortable. You had to take so many different elevators to get to the beach and they all felt a little sketchy. I appreciated the free parking but it was very far away!
Zimmer, Lage und Strand waren super schön.
Frühstück gabs 2 Sorten Wurst zur Auswahl. Die eine war Cotto und die andere Technische Wurst.

Grand Hotel Santa Maria was a wonderful place to stay. Great location and beautiful property. Staff were pleasant and accommodating. Free parking. Free breakfast. We loved our stay!

Pulizia delle camere non come ci si aspetta, in un hotel a quattro stelle non dico che la pulizia deve essere impeccabile perchè la perfezione non esiste però nemmeno delle cadute di stile del genere. Giusto per rendere l'idea sul bordo del coprirete del letto quando siamo arrivati abbiamo trovato della sabbia che è rimasta lì ovviamente, sulla controsoffittatura in testa al letto c'erano delle ragnatele, bhè non mi aspetto che in un quattro stelle mi ritrovo con un servizio pulizia del genere. Oltre a questo c'è stato un altro spiacevole episodio dovuto al responsabile del ristorante in terrazza e della sala colazione, a mio parere persona che si approccia in maniera molto impulsiva e con toni arroganti e non lascia parlare i clienti. Un vero e proprio "dialogo tra sordi", per un semplice errore di scambio tavoli si è rivolto a noi con toni arroganti in cui noi da una parte cercavamo solo di capire se la prenotazione per il nostro tavolo era stata riservata e lui dall'altro lato dominato dalla rabbia ha alzato i toni e si è concentrato solo sull'errore dello scambio tavoli e non effettivamente sulla richiesta che noi cercavamo di fare, tutto ciò creando destabilizzazione al resto del personale di sala e creando imbarazzo a noi in tutta la sala.
È la terza volta che soggiorniamo in questo hotel. La posizione, la struttura e il mare sono meravigliosi; infatti lo abbiamo sempre consigliato ad amici e parenti e siamo tornati più volte proprio per la qualità dell’esperienza offerta.
Questa volta, però, con grande dispiacere, mi sento di dover segnalare un episodio spiacevole. A mio parere, il maître di sala (sia della colazione sia del ristorante sul mare) appare spesso molto agitato. Ieri, a pranzo, a causa di un semplice errore di una cameriera, ci è stato assegnato un tavolo che probabilmente era destinato ad altri ospiti.
Il maître si è rivolto a noi in modo piuttosto brusco, chiedendoci di alzarci e spostarci immediatamente. Abbiamo collaborato senza alcun problema, ma quando ho chiesto se il nostro tavolo fosse stato assegnato, non mi è stata data la possibilità di spiegarmi o di ricevere una risposta adeguata. Il suo atteggiamento agitato e poco disponibile ha attirato l’attenzione degli altri ospiti presenti, creando una situazione imbarazzante.
Ho inoltre avuto l’impressione che questo modo di porsi influenzi anche il personale di sala: in sua presenza i ragazzi sembrano tesi e disorientati, mentre in sua assenza appaiono molto più rilassati, cordiali e attenti alle esigenze degli ospiti.
Mi dispiace davvero dover scrivere questa recensione, perché continuo ad apprezzare molto questa struttura. Tuttavia, ritengo che l’atteggiamento tenuto in questa occasione sia stato poco professionale e, soprattutto, scortese.

O SPA, o café da manhã, a localização pé na areia, os funcionários quase todos muito solícitos, a qualidade do sono, apesar de estar em uma suíte atrás da recepção e perto dos elevadores. O hotel não atendeu minha solicitação de ficar longe de elevadores, mas justificou que todas suítes estão perto dos elevadores. Felizmente não ouvi muito barulho.
O serviço na praia é um ponto alto, muito eficiente.
O menu do restaurante principal muito limitado. Somente jantei na primeira noite, depois em outros bons restaurantes que ficam perto em Santa Maria.
