DO NOT BOOK A ROOM AT THIS HOTEL. THE OWNER IS INCREDIBLY RUDE AND HAS RIPPED US OFF BY DOIBLE BOOKING OUR ROOM AND REFUSING TO REFUND US.
We arrived at the hotel one day later than our booking to find our room had been let to someone else. We had emailed the property twice to tell them we would be a day late. The owner hadn’t read the emails and offered us a room at her friend’s place for a night, and wanted an additional 3000THB as a key deposit, which we turned down. She then told us we could get a refund through Expedia and find somewhere else to stay.
2 weeks on and she is refusing to give us a refund and Expedia won’t refund us either. We wasted £385 on this hotel, we wasted a day looking for alternative accommodation the day before New Year’s Eve, travelling with 2 children. Expedia has so far offered a £50 voucher which we have turned down. We are hoping for a further resolution.

Finding Arunee Resort was very welcome after the shock of the expensive resorts lining White Sands beach. It’s not as expensive but literally across the road from the sandy part of the beach with tons or restaurants, bars etc all around. The staff are really friendly and helpful and my room had a tropical forest view. Rooms are spacious with air con and comfy beds. Very relaxing!
Great location, very comfortable, breakfast delivered to our room completely because when we checked in they did not have our reservation and no room available so they put us up next door at SP Hotel for one night. It was a bit frustrating but we could deal with it. The staff here are all very friendly, English is very limited and we can deal with this also as we are in Thailand. Actually we liked this place so well that we extended our stay here by 3 days.
When we arrived the booking (payed and confirmed by hotels.com) was not recognized by the hotel, and they had no availible rooms.
We've been staying here for many years and it remain a wonderful family run place to stay........we love Por the owner she's a star, she can organise transfers, trips and knows the island really well.......she can answer most questions and her English is great. The a/c rooms are clean with hot showers and comfortable beds, just across the road from the beach and a good size with a fridge and TV, and really well priced.......what more could you possibly want. We'll be back again😘
Hotel is at the start of white sands beach, there was confusion when we where checking in as they wanted to see a voucher, all I had was my Apple Wallet pass. This led to some delay in getting checked in until resolved. Spacious room which was clean. The only thing was as it had been raining the walk to the room was through a muddy path.
I happened upon this hotel (I find that Thais use the word "resort" quite liberally and am always sceptical) by accident, having arrived on Ko Chang with no prior reservation. The room was spacious and with a very comfortable mattress, air conditioner worked very well, had a frig and tv and hot water. It is located JUST across the street from the beach and is in walking distance to major supermarkets, 7 Eleven, street food and various restaurants and bars. I was happy to be on this beach, especially after seeing how centrally located it is, compared to other beaches on the island. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, going out of their way even to take me on a motorcycle to help me get my suitcase repaired. They also offer day tours, motorcycle rentals and transfers back to Bangkok. I would definitely return!
This place has some very good positives!
Just on the other side of the beach road is the beach, can see from the hotel. The owner " Por" is very lovely, speaks excellent English. 7-11 next door. Room very clean and new, hot shower, air con, fridge, toiletries, and water. 10% dis to teachers/ students. Motorbike rental next door 200b/ day. Fast wifi.
The negative here is I think it would be safe to drop the word " resort " and change to " motel". The grounds could use a lift, but hey we're all here for the beach, and pretty much an inexpensive bed for the night.

Getting here is 15 min from the ferry dock. Easy to find, just stop at the first 7-11.
Bad experience , after 3 times I tell her the shower is broken she angry and tell me :"FINISH, OK?!". The pillow very dirty, no hangers and after give me some. Dusty under tv. Not belive to the first impression. No words more look the picture.
This is our second visit and the price remains good value. The rooms are large with a fridge, kettle, TV and hot shower. They are located opposite the beach and a 7eleven and Located at the start of white sands. The owner Bo is really helpful and does a full transfer service which is great value also,she knows the island inside out and speaks good English. There were a few issues but Bo was quick to rectify them. This place has a homely feel and we will visit again.
