Privacy invaded by unfounded suspicions.

Cons:

During our stay at Flanders Hotel, we were wrongly charged a €75 smoking fee, even though we did not smoke in the room. The “evidence” presented—loose tobacco and an unused filter—cannot reasonably prove smoking occurred.

Charging a smoking fee without clear evidence such as cigarette ash, smoke smell, burn marks or a triggered smoke detector is not justified. Loose tobacco alone cannot reasonably be considered proof that smoking occurred in the room.

What was most upsetting was the handling of this situation. Staff entered our room while the “Do Not Disturb” sign was displayed, without asking us or giving any chance to clarify. They waited for us to leave to inspect the room, which felt like a serious violation of our privacy over an accusation we never committed.

We were also misled at checkout, as the charge was initially presented as an “outstanding balance” and only later revealed to be a smoking fee. This lack of transparency and respect made the experience very distressing.
This was unjustified, unprofessional. We ask Booking.com to review this situation.

Lohnt sich sehr, ich komme wieder
Pros:

Glueck gehabt mit sehr kurzfristiger Buchung. Sehr nettes Personal, super-saubere, ruhige Zimmer mit Bad - klasse Frühstück. Sogar Pool gab es, hatte leider keinen Badeanzug mit! Alles top!

Comfortable and enjoyable as usual. This is my fourth visit since 2004!
Pros:

Handy car park, lovely breakfast, friendly staff particularly Ailene (Filipina), comfortable and quiet room of good size. Easy access by foot into City Centre.

Great stay!
Pros:

Well maintained, nice patio to overseen from the breakfast room. Parking lot in the back of the hotel, just as expensive as the parking garage close by. Nice and clean room. Very professional and friendly staff, let me check-in earlier and gave a lot of good advice!

super ervaring en gaan zeker nog terug

alles was tip top in orde . ook afstand tot centrum was 10 min wandelen dus perfect . ook parking aan hotel zelf .hebben zelf geen ontbijt genomen maar het hebben gezien dat het in orde was misschien tip naar hotel toe een vegan versie voorzien .

Excellent city centre hotel
Pros:

Hotel is easy to find ideal if travelling by car. large car park.check in was very straightforward and quick.
Room was superb large clean and very comfortable. Buffet style breakfast was lovely with everything you need,hot and cold selections.All staff friendly and efficient.

Cons:

Really nice hotel bar but closed Mondays and Tuesdays..
