Red Castle Hotel

We had a great stay last weekend and happy to say that we all enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We booked 3 rooms for our families and everything went superb, from check-in till check-out. All the reception staff and officials were outstanding and polite. The rooms are very big and clean, there is a decent breakfast, and a very clean pool. They allowed us late check out at our request and management staff are also very polite and supportive. Counter staff Ms. Anam, Mr. Leonardo, HR Manager Mr. Abdulla and Mr. Lijo – all these persons require special mention. Thanks to the entire staff and will come back definitely.

I am very happy to say that my family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Although we checked in quite late, the entire process at the reception was smooth and pleasant. The night reception staff was very friendly and explained everything clearly.

The room was neat and clean, and the buffet breakfast, while not very elaborate, was definitely worth it considering the room package. The swimming pool was also very clean, and the pool staff were excellent.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

Friendly staff. Good value rooms and meals. Restaurant has nice ambience with good variety menu. Daily buffet meals. Beach is across the road opposite, access is ten minutes walk or can be reached by free hotel shuttle. Shuttle also to malls. Clean quiet rooms. Recommended.

I paid for the room what l saw on line they do net have my room they give room no view ocean when I ask for my room, they told me the all booked. I want to leave the hotel because they are for not professional, and they are lying in the list of the hotel.

Es ist ein schönes Hotel, leider waren die Betten mir zu hart,und das mit den Duschen am Pool war etwas kompliziert,aber der Pool war beheizt, zum nächsten Strand muss man leider 1 km laufen wo es aber keine Sonnenschirme oder Liegen gibt, Zimmer sind groß und gemütlich,im Restaurant gibt's immer Buffet zum Dinner für knapp 20€ hat mich aber nicht umgehauen

I stayed for more than 40 days. This is my 2nd visit to place.

It’s best suited for all kind of guest who are on leisure trip. As it’s very quiet, clean and well managed place near the sea beach of Sharjah.

It has professional Management and services. It is percolating down from work ethics, efficiencies and agility of General Manager (Mr.Mutafa).

Services are pretty usual, but efficient.

Among the staff, a special mention of Mr.Shakel (Front Office Manager) always helpful and making stay pleasant. Mr.Merwin and his F & B staff ( Sagar, Kristine, Maria, Jenni ), Chef Mr.Mahmoud and his team is always eager to serve you best they can.

I am vegetarian, still had taken full meal booking. As fruits and salads are always available. However very limited choice for Indian vegetarian items.

One must note that this place is far off from the center of the town, thus man coming with family must plan accordingly, as no public transport is available.

Nice swimming pool at rooftop, but be too small for Excercise, but perfect environment for relaxing.

Has good gym & leisure facilities.

All managerial hotel staff connected to guest services deserves accolades.

Suggestions:

Bed Linen quality needs some attention and improvement. Room Chairs foam and tapestry is very much dated. Sitting for long hours on same was painful.

We can have at least 1 or 2 shuttle per week for Dubai, may be can be jointly arranged, like the ones we have for local mall.

The room smelled like mould and we forgot items in the fridge but they denied finding them after half an hour of leaving the room. The worst experience ever

We had a party in banquet hall with more than 150 pax with Ona sadya … the venue was excellent and given best service by the staff teams thanks to Abdullakunji the pro of the hotel Shakeel ,vipin and the entire team for your great hospitality

This is our 2nd time in less than 2 years, all the staff are very caring especially the Hotel Manager (Mr. Shakil)

Keep in mind several of these issues are related to the fact that the hotel is understaffed.

1st, they don't always answer the phone (Both when you're staying at the hotel or just considering it)

Here are a number of issues we faced during our stay, within the character limit.

They increase the AC temp during night time in the summer "to save power" although it's very hot (>35 degrees celsius at night)

We booked a presidential suite. We were told that the difference between it & an executive suite was that the presidential suite had a jacuzzi, so we figured why not.

We were told on the phone that there was valet parking. This was not the case when we arrived. There was no valet parking. There was basement parking, which was a bit narrow/uncomfortable in certain spots but overall fine.

Upon arrival, there was only 1 receptionist available. I suggest they hire 1-2 more to deal with customers checking in & out and with those who have questions & to pick up the phone. This poor single receptionist was printing papers, checking ID's, talking with 2 groups of customers checking in as well as a group checking out, answering phone calls, & opening/closing parking gates.

The one good thing about our stay was his assistance - Leonardo, so I would like to thank him & I hope he gets a raise.

After checking in, we went to our presidential suite. 1st impressions were positive at the beginning - it looked nice & I liked the blue carpet's colour & the paint was bright.

However, after that, cracks started to appear in our view. The flat TV screen was small & ancient. It was also bolted in such a way that concealed the ports behind the TV. This led to our 1st negative interaction with maintenance & IT. The person who responded said they were in the process of getting new TVs & that only 2 in the entire hotel had an HDMI cable port. I knew that was false. He insisted. When I kept questioning him about it, he said he'd send someone to check it out. Leonardo the receptionist showed up along with the maintenance guy, & they both unscrewed a screw behind the TV to allow us to check behind it, where we saw there was indeed an HDMI cable & it worked.

The bed's mattress was as hard as the floor. The pillows were meh. But the worst thing about the bedroom was this wind chime that was right in front of the A/C vents. I'm not sure what decor genius thought this was a good idea, because it was terrible. Every time we closed our eyes to sleep they would jingle & wake us up.

Next, the bathrooms. There were 2, which was good, but one of them had a clogged up sink so the water rose quickly. The other bathroom with the jacuzzi & the shower had a broken heater. The false ceiling had markings of mould/humidity/leaking water & so on. The water coming from the jacuzzi was only lukewarm. It rendered the jacuzzi unusable. The water also had a funny green colour which made it seem unhealthy to use.

We complained & after an adventure with the help of a security guy, the receptionist Ziad, & a maintenance person, we found another presidential suite room where the water was hot & the jacuzzi worked (From a switch on the wall, but the jacuzzi buttons were all dead & so was the light in it). The water still looked off, tho, with a greenish colour. But at least the water was hot.

This other room looked older & had a questionable taste in terms of colours, but we eventually grew to prefer it over the other one.
The TV was not bolted to the wall here, the paintings were marginally better, although the view might have been a bit worse, but either way, the windows in both rooms were dirty. This new room had no working telephones.
Most importantly, however, there were no wind chimes! We could sleep in (relative) quiet.

P.S., since it's right by the street, you might hear traffic nearby & some other sounds from the AC & fans.

About the WiFi, we did not need it much, but the download speed when tested was 300 mbps (not bad for light work, tho I didn't check the upload speed.)

We didn't use the gyms or try the restaurant/cafe.

Very friendly and helpful staff made my visit pleasant and enjoyable. The room was nicely arranged and comfortable, and the bed was firm and gave me a good sleep. The venue hall for the wedding was great and made my wife happy. If I come back to the UAE again for vacation I would choose this hotel to stay at again.

If you want your wedding reception to be 101% super special, we highly recommended Red Castle Hotel, Sharjah. From the very start we inquire and meet Mr Usman and Mr Mharwin they are very accomodating. Thank you chef Shahedur for a very delicious food, all our guest loves it! and to Ms Maria (waiter) for always assisting us. Their team is very attentive in everything! Kudos to this team 😍😍

I was taken ill while in Sharjah and had requested my two children to extend my stay at Red Castle. Due to some confusion, there was an overlap resulting in my being double booked on the same dates. Reception Supervisor Mr. SHAKIL was exceptionally kind and considerate. He arranged to credit me the additional days and, since I needed to extend my stay anyway, I was only too happy to stay on at RED CASTLE. On the whole, it was a very positive experience that showed me how a hotel can go beyond obligations to please a customer. I wish you all the best, RED CASTLE!
