**** THIS IS MOST DEFINITELY NOT A 5 STAR HOTEL ****
Pros:

Coffee was Good
Egg Service Counter was OK
Staff were very pleasant
Car Park was OK
Swimming Pool seemed OK – we didn’t use it

Cons:

At check-in I was given a list of Rules that I had to sign - a 1000 Baht if I did this, 5000 Baht if I did that - NOT 5 Star Hotel Behaviour - either you trust your paying guests or you don't .
I think they were going to take a deposit on my Credit Card until I questioned it.
I got the distinct impression that the Management has had trouble with badly behaved guests in the past (confirmed having now read the Reviews) and have instigated Polices and Rules that treat all guests like potential prisoners – staying here was not a pleasant experience and we won’t be coming back – it’s not like you don’t have a choice in Pattaya.
Room was smaller than I would expect for a 5 Star Hotel at this price
Bed was too soft in our opinion
A floor mat in the room not affixed to the floor presented a major Trip Hazard.
While the breakfast looks extensive it is all served COLD despite all the Dishes having heater plates.
No Bacon so not a British Breakfast
No Pancakes so not an American Breakfast
Sugar in the Mushroom Soup???? – is that normal nowadays?
The Lobby Bar Carpet needs a very good clean or replacement.
The Air Con in the Room did NOT regulate the temperature correctly – if it was ON the room went down to 18 degrees even when set to 25 degrees.
Pippin Restaurant was closed for Refurbishment however nobody told us before booking - the planned Rooftop Birthday meal had to be taken at ground level somewhere else.
