The staff were friendly and tried their best under the circumstances
We were extremely disappointed with this stay. Only after booking with no cancellation option did the property advise there was construction “next door”. However, this is not true. The actual hotel is still under construction & we arrived to the sound of jack hammering & angle grinding. It’s all around the pool & recreation area and we even woke up to it on the Sunday morning!
The reviews here appear to be for a former hotel. This lack of transparency feels dishonest. When we raised the issue, staff admitted that the construction has been going on for quite some time already and will likely continue for the foreseeable future.
Another major problem was the misleading photos. The hotel advertised rooms with sea views, but our actual view was of a roof and a tree. Only by walking to the side of the room could we catch a glimpse of the ocean, which is far from what was promised.
Also the patio is shared with all the rooms on that floor with a short nib wall & a small pot plant to divide.
We were highly disappointed as we were expecting a few relaxing days at the resort but had to arrange a day trip off the island as we couldn’t relax with construction workers & noise all around.
The price charged is not for a hotel still under construction & to not be clearly notified of this and given the opportunity to change is dishonest & unfair.
Another thing to consider is that this is not really a swimming beach - it only gets about knee deep.
Don’t stay here…we checked and visited - there are far nicer hotels for similar prices down the road that have no construction.

The staff were incredibly welcoming and made us feel at home straight away, they catered to our every need and helped us with renting a moped. The facilities were brilliant, the pool was large with a stunning view overlooking the sea. We had a balcony in our room also overlooking the same amazing view. There was some construction work being done at the time of our stay but this made no difference to how much we enjoyed the hotel and its facilities. There is a complimentary coffee corner where you can enjoy chilled soft drinks, snacks and coffee which was a really nice touch; this included fresh coconut! I would like to emphasise how friendly the staff were, always smiling and checking in to see how we were and if there was anything else they could do for us. I imagine once all of the work has been completed it will be a luxurious 5 star hotel! I highly recommend anyone visiting Koh Phangan to explore staying at this hotel as it was the best hotel experience out of all the hotels we stayed at during our 3 week holiday across the Thai islands. Thank you so much to the hotel and its staff for making it the best stay we could have asked for.

Beautiful views, you can hear the beach waves sounds in the spacious room. We particularly liked the swimming pool, one of the biggest available on the island, excellent if you are a sports swimmer who wants to swim long tracks.
The building had a lot of steps quite slippy in the rain
