The location was perfect. The price was fair. The room was generally clean.
The low 100 series rooms in the main building were musty. Our patio only had one chair and the A/C unit was rusty, so sitting out on the small patio was undesirable. The handicap bathroom had a retractable bar in it, but wasn’t retractable to move it out of the way for normal use, and it obstructed the whole right side. They need to be retractable and able to be out of the way. Also, booking offered an incentive for Breakfast Included, but when we got there the hotel manager said that wasn’t the case. The breakfast was $75 for four people for a small buffet. We didn’t eat there a second time because it wasn’t a good value. For what the offered, $10 would have been fair.
The grounds and facilities were excellent. They have lake access with swimming and a raft and also have kayaks and canoes that you can use and chairs if you just want to chill by the lake. They also have a great outdoor pool and chairs with wonderful landscaping. If that’s not enough they also have a tennis court and two pickle ball courts
My room smelled like cigarettes, the bed was hard and uncomfortable and the balcony door lock was broken.
We had the most magical and magnificent wedding weekend at the Interlaken Inn. From our first visit and tour with Robyn, we were impressed with the facilities. The friendliness and attentiveness of the staff was exceptional as we witnessed them meticulously preparing for a wedding and taking time to greet us and say hello. One of the things that supported our decision in choosing the Interlaken Inn for our daughter's wedding was how flexible and willing they were to co-create our vision.
Robyn was a pleasure and joy to work with throughout the 18 month process. She was such an integral part of helping the weekend come together. And even despite her father having had a stroke a few days before our wedding, she was present and on top of every last detail, including helping me, the mother of the bride, untangle a string of lights that we were hoping to hang at the welcome bonfire.
My husband, son and I stayed in the Basha cottage and we highly recommend booking that for the parents of the bride. It was a perfect place for us to stay and for the bridesmaids to all get ready the morning of the wedding. The groomsmen all stayed in the Countryside cottages which was a perfect place for all of them.
Every event exceeded our expectations. The beautiful rehearsal dinner garden party, the super fun welcome bonfire with the cute beverage cart, and the beautiful setting of the wedding by the lake. Even with the unexpected 15 minutes of rain showers, Robyn came to the rescue with a dozen umbrellas. The reception was spectacular in the beautiful tent. The after party gave guests more time to hang out and chill after all the dance party at the reception. And the farewell brunch was a wonderful way to continue to be in the glow of the wedding and say goodbye to all our family and friends. Many of our wedding guests have said it was the best wedding they've ever been to!
We are so grateful to Robyn, Mike and the entire Interlaken staff, who supported us in truly creating the best wedding weekend we could've ever imagined. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
My shower did not drain well and there was a smell on the first floor that was a little unpleasant
1. The receptionist who checked us in was excellent. I wish I paid better attention to his name. There were two checking in guests at the time and he was much more personable than the other line.
2. Great beds and nice floors
3. Nice pool
1. Mildew/mold in the shower
2. Air conditioner was dirty and there were dryer sheets blocking the air flow
3. The sliding door did not lock
4. Breakfast, while was a decent continental, ends very early for a Sunday. However when we arrived (955), a server said they would extend for a little while.
Loved the location and comfortable. Loved our interactions both nights with Bob at the bar. What a wonderful man.
Bathroom was not up to standards, not very clean and smelled musty.
Although the drive to the inn was long, that is what added to its appeal. Very remote, back woods, and quiet.
No washer & dryer.
If you are looking for a wedding venue that turns your special occasion into an event to remember you need to consider coming to Interlaken Inn. We hosted an August wedding for 140 people …. the ceremony was by the lake ( a stunning back drop), cocktail hour back at the Inn, dinner and dancing under the tent, and the after party in the Atrium - it’s all there in one spot. At least 100 of our guests stayed on the grounds for two nights, so Friday night we had a robust crowd at the “pizza truck” welcome dinner and then lakeside at the bonfire making s’mores - the bride and groom were thrilled to actually spend time with their friends and family before their wedding day. On Saturday, guests played pickleball, went kayaking on the lake, relaxed poolside, golfed nearby, and explored local quaint towns. There's plenty to do at Interlaken and how fun it is to visit with each other. Again, if this is the vibe you want you will get it here. Things to note: 1. Interlaken Inn provides a wedding planner to coordinate all the details of the weekend and especially on the wedding day. Sarah was on point, thank you Sarah! 2. There are accommodation options, from your standard hotel room to a 2 or 3 bdrm townhouse or a pet friendly room. 3. Don’t worry about weather, there are back up plans for rain and if needed there is AC for the tent area. 4. The wedding tent is gorgeous, the Atrium is spacious for the afterparty, the grounds are perfect for pictures and general atmosphere. 5. Quality of food and presentation a 10. Be sure to check this venue out for your wedding.
It is so pretty and the views around the hotel were amazing.
Tear it down and start over. Im sure staff does what they can with the tools their given. You can't put lipstick on a pig.
Arrived only to be told the room I reserved was not available. Staff worked to find a different room, which took some time—so was happy about that, but the room smelled like mold. It was clean and had towels but we immediately opened the deck door and turned the fan on high. Felt the nightly rate far exceeded the quality of the room.
The inn was lovely, the spa treatments were excellent and the property was beautiful. This is a perfect getaway - and close to many areas for easy travel to and from.
