ABSOLUTELY AMAZING EXPERIENCE! Phenomenal staff with amazing service, the most stunning location with the beach/ocean right in your front yard, & an awesome food/drink selection that all tastes great! Zipline/island hopping tours/activities/shops & restaurants are all walking distance from the beautiful resort (front desk helped arrange our tours and shuttles). They also offer their own massages, provide good wifi, and have talented live music during dinner service. Rooms of course were super clean and cozy as well with a TV, and crisp air conditioning. This experience blew us away, I couldn’t recommend the lovely Las Cabanas crew and their establishment more!
Great staff, place was a more old school experience! Would stay again!
Incredible hotel and staff. Couldn't do enough for us during our stay. Clean and hygienic throughout. Would definitely recommend this top spot.
Overall excellent customer service.
The weak internet is a broadband issue for the entire area and not the hotel. I’ve talked to the owner and he understands the need for a faster internet access.
As of today, they’ve installed a Starlink (Elon Musk) satellite internet dish and this should greatly improve wi-fi speed. But this is for future guests to comment on.
Great place to sray ..nice and peaceful..they just only have slow internet a little bit walking to get to their place
Beautiful location... hard to access with heavy luggage. 18 min walk from road dropoff.
Lovely location and comparatively quiet beach versus other parts of the beach, BUT this is definitely a 2.5* hotel. First, there’s a substantial 200m hike from the road along the beach to reach the hotel. The WiFi is extremely weak and only works at the lobby/ restaurant. The rooms are reasonably-sized but very austere and of very poor design. I was fine with no TV, there there was no reading lamp. In my room there was quite a powerful AC unit but no controller. You’d have to be 7ft tall to reach the controller. An employee smiled and suggested that pulling the plug from the outlet was the only means of controlling the AC. There’s no hot water in the rooms - it must requested and brought via jugs. I had to request bath towels. The toilet seat didn’t stay up (no problem for women I guess). The mattress and pillows were fine and clean. The restaurant Food is ok, but there were no napkins at dinner, and during the day they ran out of 2 of the 3 beer styles they served. Staff were friendly, but they could use some guidance as to improving service levels.
Hotel parfait.
Our stay at Las Cabanas in El Nido was a beautiful complement to our time in the fast moving city life of Makati. The beach cottage (cabin #1), the visual environment, the water, the people - every aspect of our stay left a deep and memorable impression on us. We were moved by the hospitality and kind welcome we received. The food and drinks were delicious and the staff is thoughtful and accomodating. Every view is of paradise. Much is said about the sunsets, and this is understandable, but the sunrise is something spectacular. I woke early every morning before the beach torches were put out so I could wade through the water as the morning sun burned away the mist from the surreal-looking islands, and illuminated the world class landscape.
I would suggest avoiding the group Island hopping tours and instead talking to Hazel early about chartering your own boat for the day. The trip with “Tom & Jerry” and “Captain Jack” was the highlight of our stay, and that says a lot. The whole venture brought us to 4 islands, one completely private beach, a feast of a lunch, an encounter with a 4-foot monitor lizard, kayaking, swimming, & cost us 1750 pisos for the day, and we tipped the guys the rest of what we had because it was so spectacular.
When we return to the Philippines we will undoubtedly return to Las Cabanas. Make sure to bring a range of cash (no cards accepted - you can catch a trike up to El Nido to the ATM for 150 Pisos each way if necessary) and please, tip well.
Las cabanas is great, Hazel and her staff are amazing, my friends and I had the best time here 😊 the rooms are basic but very comfortable and the sunsets are sublime 😊 would definitely recommend...
Great hotel just steps to the beach and the restaurant/bar. Martin was especially helpful at the restaurant and a pleasure to converse with.
The views of this venues are incredible, just for that is worth it. To arrive to the hotel you have to walk 10 min through the amazing beach of corong corong so is not that hard, they helped us with the backpacks anyway.
The room was nice with a terrace in front of the beach. the bathroom renovated and beautiful. As they don't have hot water they facilitate you some if you need it. The breakfast is very good and also the coffee. They are a bit slow to elaborate so better not to be in a hurry.
If you like a nice vieuw, a friendly and very he;pfull staff, and good accomodation, this is your place to stay! But you have to walk a bit along the shore to get there....
Gutes Frühstück. Toller Sonnenuntergang. Strand nur bedingt zum baden geeignet. Zimmer sind zweckmäßig und sauber. Tolle Lage und nettes Personal. Sehr zu empfehlen. Es war ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt dort.
Wouldn’t stay there again. Multiple times the manageress (not Hazel, the other lady in charge) bumped up a price they’d previously quoted us for each day trip we did. That explains the shouting match we witnessed on our first day between a lady checking out (she was paying for trips) with staff about her being overcharged. The first time it happened to us we paid the extra 1200 peso but after that we firmly said we weren’t paying more than they told us and she then went with the original price. It doesn’t make for a nice feeling about the place you’re staying in though
This place did not disappoint.
The location by the beach is fantastic tho far from the main town which can be a plus.. to reach the resort .. it's a 30min local ride of php 400. Then walking down a steep staircase of 71 steps..and a walk along the beach for 10minutes. The beach is quiet and vendors are almost non existent as opposed to the Caribbean resorts. Las Cabanas have a well kept landscape with several hammocks hanging between coconut trees. They also provide number of sunbeds for guests. Their restaurant serves a pleasing fruit platter or mangoes, pineapple, watermelon/apples for breakfast . For dessert, try their mango float. For dinner, we enjoyed their Tinola. a chicken ginger soup with green papaya and pepper leaves served with rice. We ate most of our meals at the resort and they are delicious and nicely presented.
We stayed in a room with no AC but the fans and the sea breeze made it comfortable. The room was clean and the bathroom is equipped with a decent shower. Shower is just room temperature no hot water. Take note : they provide a complimentary 1L mineral water everyday but no shampoos. They do provide a huge bottle of body wash.
What we love about this place.. your door opens up onto to the beach, the sunset, the island life before your eyes, the complimentary breakfast and the wonderful, hard working staff.
Overall was satisfactory. The location was amazing but be prepared to be isolated from town its a little bit of a venture however in my opinion worth it. I liked the room but there is no hot water or ac which didnt bother me. I didnt have much good to say about the staff esoecially front desk they were not helpfull we didnt have any sort of helpfull welcome or check out and the food and drinks were completely over priced and not worth the cost luckily there were other restaurants along the beach.
