A great stay, would for sure stay there again when the construction is finished
Pros:

Location, free drinks, gorgeous room with Pony Rider styling, comfy bed, huge gorgeous bathroom

Cons:

Some breakfast staff very late at helping, the first morning breakfast nobody came to take our coffee order and it was slapped on the table when it finally arrived. Also breakfast menu needed a pancake/ fruity option. And scaffolding and workman everywhere,, a bit meh

The staff were exceptionally friendly and we were gifted a bottle of prosecco as it was our honeymoon

Overly expensive hotel in Queenstown.
Pros:

The view was spectacular. Beds comfortable and rooms spacious.

Cons:

Bed linen too small for the bed and continuously got tangled up. The water supply was cut off for 5 hours on two days. No Compensation was offered. We had to approach the staff and they did give us a free car park space. The restaurant was closed for a wedding function so no food or drinks could be purchased on one evening.

No amenities. Not acceptable for a ‘5 star’ hotel

Cons:

No available amenities at hotel. It’s a reported 5 star hotel but due to renovations there were NO amenities available ie not pool. gyms etc and only 1 restaurant was open and there was a function in that venue for one night of our stay. Had to pay separately for parking.

Very friendly staff. The layout of hotel is chopped up in different levels and is not as desirable.
Pros:

sizable room, clean bathroom

Cons:

Bed is not firm enough, no chest of drawers to put t-shirts, socks etc. Also it would have been great if there is a guest lounge with good views that friends can chat and relax in.

False advertising

Did not match the description

Cons:

Be aware, booking advertising is misleading. It probably was a nice property back in days it was built, but not anymore. Rooms are old and outdated. It’s ok for 3 star hotel but not when it’s presented as a 5 star. 90% of the property closed for renovations. So you can’t even have an access from the lake. It’s 10 minute hike to get to the back side of the property where they have few rooms which are operational.
NO LAKE VIEW IS GUARANTEED. The never said that, all the rooms photos show the lake view rooms only.
THERE IS NO FREE PARKING. Parking is $35NZD. Another false advertising.

There are lots more better options in town for that price. Do not fall for old good reviews like I did. Those are no longer applicable!!!

Great new hotel with lake views
Pros:

We had a big modern room with a view of the lake. For a better view go and have breakfast or a drink in the bar, the views are sensational. The location of the hotel is great - close to the lake and all the good bars and restaurants.

Cons:

The view of the lake from our room was also a view of the car park.

Pros:

The overall facilities of the hotel were great. The room was lovely and the cleanliness of the room was excellent
