Room was pathetic, too much smell and not at all worthy for the price. Even food was not good with very limited options
Firstly they told me that my booking for check-in at next day time 2 pm.
May be inadvertently, I okayed PM instead of AM check in.
On my begging and plea, they gave me the worst room # 102 with basics and dirty towels and pillows on condition of paying early check in.
Finally, I checked out next morning after breakfast
But, they charged me two times !!!!
I like everything about this hotel
Good
This property is highly unrealistic than the images portrayed. The rooms, furnishings, blinds are dirty and outdated. Sheets are ripped, headboards have stains of baked on hair grease from past stays. They use a cheap plugged in scent in hallways to mask out the mouldy air quality. On our 4 day stay I got sick and had to unplug the scents each time I entered the hallways. Do yourself a favour, pay $10 more and stay at the Holiday inn next door!
Excellent staff but the rooms could be cleaner.
The room was lovely, I got the kind with a bathtub and really enjoyed that. The food was good, room service, breakfast, all of it.
Two negatives: Mosquitos kept getting in, including the room, chewed me up because I never could get the last one. There was also no heat, and the room was pretty cold, and the staff couldn't bring me a space heater. I was a bit too cold the whole time.
5 stars if it were summer, and with better mosquito luck.
The bathroom was smelling, lot of mosquitoes in the room and the over all condition of the property is not good.
The staff were prompt and helpful, as was the checkin and checkout experience. The food in the restaurant is good. The property though really needs a renovation. The carpets in the hallway were dirty. The bathroom floor felt like it was not maintained very well. And the hotel floors near the restaurant were a little sticky.
Overpriced for the lower quality of furnishings, which were stained and not clean. Room had a mostly damp smell.

good hotel with very polite staff, good breakfast, but the room was a bit run down and doors etc were very old, AC water leak in the hallway of first floor.
Safe
The hotel cancelled our booking before we even arrived! We tried checking in at the time we had informed them - 11.00 p.m. - but they said we should have checked in before 6.00 p.m. How could we do that when our flight hadn't even arrived in Calcutta! WARNING - do not use this hotel - they may randomly cancel your booking.
