Common areas outside rooms were dirty - not once did I see a vacuum turned on.
Laundry room was dirty - shit everywhere!
In the room was dirty plates, pans, and crockery which we had to wash prior to use. There was blood stains on the carpet upon entry. Unkept, poorly maintained.
Stayed 3 nights but was only given enough dishwashing powder for 1 load of dishwashing.
Breakfast was cheap and mostly ‘filler’ foods (bread, bagels, muffins, waffles, pancakes) that were very high in sugar with little to no health food options available. Nothing ‘green’ present besides a green apple.
Female Staff appeared inconvenienced by any enquiry. No greetings with a smile or genuineness at all. Male staff were fine.

Isaac, The Manager was awesome! We really enjoyed our stay!

We chose Sonesta ES Suites New Orleans Downtown for a one-night stay before departing on a birthday cruise, and it exceeded our expectations from start to finish.

The location was perfect — convenient to downtown and an easy trip to the cruise port. The hotel itself was clean, modern, and very comfortable. Check-in was smooth, and the staff was friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived.

To make our birthday celebration even more special, we received a complimentary room upgrade. The room was spacious, spotless, and well-appointed, giving us plenty of room to relax and get ready for our cruise. It truly set the tone for a memorable birthday trip.

The highlight of our stay was Isaac, the manager. His professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail made a lasting impression. He went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable and stress-free. He also made sure that our transportation from the hotel to the cruise port was secured. It's clear he takes pride in providing exceptional service, and that leadership shows throughout the entire team.

If you’re sailing out of New Orleans or planning a visit to the city, I highly recommend this hotel. We will absolutely stay here again!

I would not recommend
Pros:

Location was prime.

Cons:

I was hurt by the oven glass that fell on my legs multiple times due to being broken and property aware. The sofa bed was disgusting with stains and we were never provided bedsheets and pillows for pull out bed though I asked multiple times. The floors were stained with red liquid. The room was not prepared for 3 guest. We had to ask for silverware and paper towels.

I was given a room that wasn’t what I expected. It had no view, but the parking garage. The bathroom sink was clogged, I reported and had no response, I asked to be moved to another room, which I got the next day. In the move to the other room, si left some clothes behind. When I realized, the next day, I went to reception and asked. Look like the person that cleaned the room took my stuff. So I lost my belongings.

Pros:

Location was ok, im a walker so it wasn't too bad for me, 3rd floor smoking area is nice and of course having multiple rooms in 1 unit is always a plus

Cons:

The phones inside room didn't wrk for front office service, HOT WATER for shower was horrible 😫 it never really got HOT just luke warm, and the last thing would be just the lack of up keep house keeping is doing, I mean carpet in my unit was horrible full of filth I had to wipe down the walls with my own clorox wipes, it looked as if something had splashed and made a mess In different spots BUT if I could see it then house keeping should see it! No kinda mini mart on site, it'll be nice not have to walk for everything, offering water a ice is a MUST for the future
