Really nice to enjoy Mardi Gras or Superdome show.
Pros:

Nice people, quiet compared to french quarter, but walking distance of vieux carré and Superdome. Bus stations to go in every directions very close. Very big rooms with 2 big beds and kitchen.

Cons:

Air climatiser a bit noisy, very few dishes/ kitchen items but can be asked to the desk.

Airport express bus stop (202) was right across the street & very inexpensive. Loyola Street & Canal Steet streetcars were also convenient and provided reliable transportation.

Cons:

Breakfast was not what I expected after reading some of the previous reviews. I found it lacking options, food was lukewarm at best, grits were so salty I threw them out...ended up going elsewhere for breakfast after the first morning. Hotel is in desperate need of renovations, facilities were really run down. I asked a few employees for directions/questions and was told that they were new to town and were unable to assist me...I even met an out of town task manager that was sent to critique/improve operational processes; Glad to see that Sonesta is aware of the issues at this location and working to improve things.

I liked the hotel room very much. It was clean, pleasant, and very comfortable. I enjoyed my stay.

I did not like the way the staff treated guests. They could be more friendly. It seemed like they were in a bad mood all the time.
