Avoid!
Pros:

Walking distance to all shops in thamel

Cons:

I wasn't expecting luxury for the room price but this hotel is run down.
The facilities of the room are outdated.. the toilet is dirty , the shower stinks.
I had to change room as the first one has a sting smell of strain and humidity.
The second room, still very neglected and dirty toilet.
The bed and pillow sheets smell.
At night, there was constant noise from the reception and local women walking / talking next to my door until late night.
The room does not have any fan, so expect to open the window to get some air.

Friendly helpful staff got us settled in easily. They had no issue when we wanted to swap to a bigger room and did it cheerfully. Arranged taxi to airport. Rooftop was a great spot for a chill included breakfast. Had a delicious mutton biryani lunch as well. Great spot on the edge of Thamel on way to Durbar Square. Perfect to get away from the hustle and bustle when needed. Loved having a street facing window on the 3rd floor to hang out and watch the world go by. Yummy Japanese restaurant on first floor. Photos included of our meal there. A good mid range option.

Cons:

Nothing much really. Didn't realise from booking info that the hotel was on the 2nd floor and up but hey it's Nepal gotta expect some steps. Some tea and coffee in the room would have been good.

Pros:

Beautiful and spacious room. The staff was more than helpful. Everybody was very kind and welcoming. The rooftop restaurant is amazing and the food as well. Excellent location but at the same time quite peaceful and away from the noise.
