A massively overpriced disappointment

The staff were lovely

Cons:

We saved up for an anniversary weekend. Prices had gone up so high we could only afford one day but that’s ok cos we were looking forward to using the spa. Both spa rooms were booked out for the entirety of the day. Though that’s my fault for leaving it so late. Our $350 room ‘with a view’ was not the one advertised on the site but a dingy ground floor room looking out onto the drunks staggering up and down the valley streets. The room smelt musty when we walked in. We just sat on the couch in the dank and I apologised for ruining our anniversary. On the plus side though, we didn’t have to go down too many stairs when the fire alarm went off the next morning. I feel like an idiot for being excited about this trip. This was the first place we stayed all those years ago and holds a special place in our hearts. Afterwards we said ‘not our best holiday not our worst’ but after trying to think what our worst would be, it turns out that this actually was our worst. Truly disappointing

I enjoyed my stay at peppers the rooms were nice and clean, the ammenities were top notch and the receptionist and house
