The interior gardens were perfect for relaxing
No AC, but great breeze from window n fan
We arrived straight from the ferry at 7.30am and the guy very very kindly let us check into our room.
The staff couldn’t have been more considerate and friendly. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The hotel has been thoughtfully restored to an amazing standard. Place was spotless and bed very comfortable
The history and garden are both spectacular. Alex and Ian were both very charming and informative. They gave us a top tip for our flow on visit to Edinburgh (the Dome) and that is where I write this review from with a pint of hawk stone.
Our room had a bathtub only for bathing that was located in the same room as the bed. We had no issues with this but it could get interesting depending on your travel partner.

Ye Spotted Dogge is such a wonderful place to stay and the hosts are warm and friendly. The interiors and rooms are decorated beautifully with period artworks and furniture, fresh flowers and fine china crockery. Absolutely beautiful. And the outdoor garden is stunning, it was in full bloom when we were there. A delicious continental breakfast is served in a gorgeously decorated tea room, a perfect start for the day. And there's a cosy bar for drinks before dinner as well. The location is very convenient too as it's walking distance from everything we wanted to see and do.

Fantastic historical house with great decor and a very comfortable bed. The hosts were very pleasant to speak to and very helpful. Free Parking right outside the door.
