Short overnight stay
Pros:

Good location to boat . Staff nice and old hotel clean. Classic rooms clean but need updating
Classic room plus modern and clean . We were also given a room in a small cottage at back of hotel which was two singles which should have been a double which they pushed together
Very musty smell and window won’t open

Cons:

Didn’t supply complementary water especially during the summer months this is unusual as this is a regular in most hotels We weren’t told this on arrival

Excellent but would come again when the curling was on
Pros:

I liked the idea that your breakfast was freshly cooked instead of self service.the room had a walk in shower which was great as I had just had a hip replacement.

North West Castle
Pros:

Beautiful building which has a very traditional feel. The location of the hotel is excellent for exploring the area and parking was really good.
Staff are very friendly and helpful. Our wee one really liked the reception staff as they always made time to interact with him and make him feel welcome.
The room was comfortable and clean with the option to have it serviced or not depending on preference.
We enjoyed our stay and made use of the leisure facilities. Pool is a good size.

Cons:

Room could be improved with the addition of a fridge.
Entrance also didn't have a ramp, although I'm assuming there could be an alternate entrance as there was a door open that I think possibly provided access but we didn't investigate.
In the leisure area, the non slip in the showers needs to be updated and some foam remover solution could be added to the jacuzzi.

great value excellent breakfast
Pros:

there were 4 of us and we were given a wee bungalow with 2 bedrooms and a fantastic breakfast.....not the usual buffet breakfast. It was really nice. But most of all was the price. I was not expecting this level of service for what we paid. Staff are lovely

Sad to say .... I doubt if I would return.

We have stayed at the hotel many times over the years. The hotel is certainly showing its age and is in need of a major uplift.
