The entire family members were very helpful and friendly which made our stay very comfortable. There are many restaurants and store within walking distance.

Pros:

The bed was very comfortable as were the pillows. There was a lamp and fan which were nice. The power went out 6 times during my stay, therefore no AC no WiFi. I was not offered a discount in any way. The last day I booked a bus through the homestay. It was the worst experience I’ve had in Vietnam. I had to pay to stay at the homestay during a Thunderstorm until 4pm when it was time to catch the bus. Even after the power had been out during my stay he charged me 130k to stay half day! When I booked he said leave at 4pm arrive in Ha Giang at 12am but we ended up arriving at 3am. At 4 he said 4:20, I caught the busy at almost 5pm. We stopped every 10-15 minutes to load people and goods.
About 3 hours in I asked the driver via Google translate to use the bathroom. He said 5 minutes. At the next stop he looked directly at me and motioned me off the bus and down an alley. I go to the alley and there is nothing but a bunch of closed shops. I tried to communicate with the driver Google Translate but he was extremely rude and dismissive while he and a bunch of other men smirked at me (foreign woman). I finally called the owner of this homestay to translate. He got on the phone and the driver was laughing the whole time. He gave me back the phone before they were finished talking and the owner of this homestay was laughing as well! The driver kept motioning me towards the alley. Finally I realize he is trying to get me to use the bathroom in the street!

Un Homestay hors pair !
Pros:

Très belles excursions dans cette ville.
Chambre très propre.
Personnel très accueillant et facilitant, d'une gentillesse exemplaire.
Petit jardin extérieur....très zen!
Déjeuner très copieux! Très bon !
Un endroit agréable où il fait bon de séjourner.
Proximité des lieux de visite.
Plusieurs excellents restaurants autour.

A peaceful, clean and beautiful spot in Tam Coc (Ninh Binh). Owner is friendly, helpful. Excellent food, clean rooms, reasonable price.

We Loved This Homestay
Pros:

We loved this Homestay. Everything was just right. Great value for the price. The family who runs it is lovely. They are unobtrusive yet manage to be available when you need them. The food was very good and they will serve any time you request. Room is large, comfortable and clean. The whole place is cute and inviting. Love the courtyard. The owner arranged all of our travel plans as well as departure plans. He even took my big suitcase to the bus on his motorbike and then came back and took me! Highly recommended.
