Modern, Clean and Great Value
Pros:

Alt Hotel was a spectacular stay. Fast check-in, modern hotel, great communication, very clean, and excellent service. Reasonable underground parking at $13 per day, and it’s centrally located so you can easily walk to all the pubs and restaurants, although they also have a great coffee shop in the lobby.

We upgraded to a waterfront view, which was nice for watching the ships come in and out. The layout of the harbor means the hotels are set back from the dock, so while it’s a harbor view and not right on the water, the views are still very good.

Would definitely stay there again when in St. John’s.

Easy, friendly, clean.
Pros:

Property was clean, well situated, and had required items. I like a room with a kettle for tea, and they had kettles at the front desk. The staff were very friendly. The service was good. The coffee shop had excellent coffee.

Cons:

The room has these modern panels that control everything (blinds, lights, temperature etc) tha I found difficult to navigate at times- I probably prefer a few off and on switches.

Number 1 hotel.
Pros:

You will not be disappointed. Good location downtown. Rooms are beautiful and I would suggest the harbour view rooms. Great price. Very clean, beds extremenly comfortable . During my stay, I did not hear anything. Felt very welcome by all the staff. ALT hotels belong to the Germain Group, a family owned company based in Quebec City and they have hotels throughout Canada, and I can assure you will get the same welcome throughout their other locations in Canada.

Pros:

Never knew there was a breakfast. Tried to make a coffee in room, I mean what happened to coffee pots and at least having a stir stick to stir said coffee would have been great.

The bed was comfortable.

The water in the shower stayed at the bottom of my feet. So it was clogged, that was pretty gross
