Fantastic stay!!
Pros:

The hotel was fantastic in it's communication leading up to the trip!! The service was exceptional once there and continued at that level our entire stay!! It was wonderful to see how pet friendly it is. I will return with my husband and dog. The location was perfect to walk and see the sights!! Also, many tours had a pick up location at that hotel. The restaurant Terre was amazing as was the Terre Cafe!! Would highly recommend this hotel as a stay in St. John's!!!

Nothing at all comes to mind.

Excellent staff and location
Pros:

Staff was amazing! I had such great interactions with everyone at the front desk. Location is ideal.

Cons:

Nothing major, but there were some scuffs here and there in the room and the carpet had a large tear.

Good, modern option in St. John's
Pros:

Location is good but a little noisy if you're in a Water St facing room (people in St. John's seem to like gunning motor cycles along there). Room was spotless. Very high tech - a panel that controls everything. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Parking is $20 for 24 hours with in and out privileges (and parking is hard to find in downtown St. John's). Coffee shop in the lobby is good too.

Cons:

There is a panel by the bed that has a night light build in which was very annoying as there didn't seem to be any way to turn it off. A bit on the pricey side.

Great stay in the city
Pros:

We had a lovely 2 night stay at this very modern hotel. The reception staff who greeted us were very welcoming and friendly.

The parking garage was a little tight getting in and out but was fine.

Our room , whilst not the biggest was clean and comfortable with everything we needed for a pleasant stay. We had a partial view of the harbour which was nice. We didn’t have any noise problems as other people have said.

The hotel is ideally located for both Water Street and George Street. Getting to Signal Hill from here is straight forward too. The War memorial is a short walk away.

The pubs and restaurants around here have everything you could want and lots of choice. Most of the pubs have nightly entertainment so it’s a great place to stay.

We would stay here again and highly recommend it.

Great hotel
Pros:

Great hotel. Highly recommend. Staff are super helpful. Location is awesome- close to harbour views, Water St restaurants, George St bars and music, and a primary pickup point for tours. Rooms are spacious and well stocked

Alt Hotel: modern yes, but not without its challenges
Pros:

Stayed two nights at the ALT Hotel in St. John’s. A very central location close to the hustle and bustle provides walking distance to downtown points of interest, but at a cost of outside noise and disturbances at night (suggest room not facing streetfront to mitigate). The hotel is modern, furnished well and has helpful amenities, but due to space being at a high premium, rooms are small and parkade is very challenging to navigate (note added cost of parking required). Overall a reasonable value, provided visitors understand there are unavoidable challenges and irritants as a consequence of the property location. Please indicate if you found this review to be helpful so I know where to focus future review efforts.

Pros:
+ close proximity to attractions, shops and restaurants nearby
+ modern hotel with neat room amenities including smart controls w/shade and lighting, above average quality coffee
+ good usage of space, lobby area a plus with seating and billiards, water filling station

Cons:
- irritating outside sleep disturbances during weekend stay (intoxicated/noisy people, loud vehicles)
- elevators/parkade very difficult to maneuver due to size, tightness of stalls
- smaller room, inconsistent shower pressure observed, towels could be more plush, second floor streetfront rooms provides poor views of awning

Loved our stay there.

The on site restaurant was closed Sunday evening and Monday and Tuesday so we were unable to dine in the hotel during our stay there.

Hotel in ausgezeichneter Lage
Pros:

Ausgezeichnete Lage.
Sehenswürdigkeiten, Restaurants, Pubs zu Fuß erreichbar.

Cons:

Da es bei der Buchung keine Frühstücksoption gibt, wurden mir nach Rücksprache Vouchers zu 25 CAD angeboten.
Es wurde jedoch nicht erwähnt, dass damit das Frühstück keineswegs zur Gänze abgedeckt ist.
Das Frühstück ist a la carte. Es gibt kein Buffet.
Obendrein ist montags und dienstags das Restaurant komplett geschlossen.
Lediglich das Café (Selbstbedienung!) hat geöffnet.
Dieses steht nicht nur den Hotelgästen zur Verfügung.
Da es zu wenig Sitzgelegenheit gibt, ist die Hotellobby dann übervoll.
Eine tolle Atmosphäre für ein Hotel in dieser Preisklasse!
