Good value for the price, but definitely not the fanciest hotel around.
Pros:

Location was fantastic. Very close to many great restaurants and transit. Room itself was solid for the price. Would definitely consider coming again.

Cons:

Definitely some wear and tear is noticeable in the hotel. Some of the sheets were torn and frayed, for example, and there weren't any reading lights, only overhead lights.

The Allen hotel =)
Pros:

Relación precio - calidad, personal muy amable y siempre dispuesto a ayudar. Cerca del hotel existen cafeterías, bares y "delis"por si quieres tener comida para llevar y comerla dentro del comedor que tiene el hotel.
Además hay una estación del metro súper cerca sólo caminas 250 metros.
La habitación tenía balcón y a pesar de estar frente a calle principal el ruido no se sentía

Cons:

La primer noche el aire acondicionado presentó problemas, a la mañana siguiente todo quedó solucionado cambiando la habitación sin preguntas siempre buscando la solución

Hotel with no air conditioning
Pros:

Beautiful rooms

Cons:

The air conditioning in the building wasn't working. They had to move me from one room which was 85° to another which was 81° and I gave up my search for a cooler room at that point. At least there was air movement in the room.

We would stay at the Allen Hotel again!
Pros:

We were greeted warmly at check-in. Our room was bright and immaculate. The wood floors were beautiful and we loved all the light let in by the floor to ceiling windows. We easily set our thermostat to both heat and cool as needed. The bathroom was small but beautifully appointed with enough storage for both of us. The closet was a little small but there was plenty of other storage. All the staff were friendly, the elevator worked very well and there was beautiful Chinese art on display.

Cons:

We put some items in the fridge and noticed the items on the top shelf froze. Didn’t see a way to adjust. There could have been better instructions for the TV. The list of channels provided didn’t seem to match the options I found in the guide on the TV. Finding the guide was helpful once I discovered it.

Other than the bed, everything was good
Pros:

Everything was great about the hotel, except the bed. The bed was super hard like one of those older boxspring beds feel like you were laying on a slab of concrete.

Pros:

This is just a very nice hotel. The gym/spa was great! Lots of nice places to eat in the area.

Cons:

The lighting system didn't seem to work. I didn't need my card for lighting in the room, and the balcony light never came on.
A complimentary breakfast would've been nice.

Never again! Our eagerness to stay here turned to instant regret.
Pros:

We picked The Allen Hotel because of the convenient location. Although we like the local neighborhood, I believe I'd opt for accommodations nearer to subway stations next time.

Cons:

Housekeeping is disgusting unacceptable! There appeared to be blood stains on the sheets. Upon complaint, staff claimed housekeeping had gone for the day & suggested covering the stained sheets with replacements provided by the lobby. The comforter was ripped and tattered. Furniture was falling apart. Had to go to the lobby daily to request washcloths/ hand towels. Bed firmness was comparable to sleeping on the floor. Could hear hallway movement & conversations as if the door was wide open. Bathroom was dingy and outdated.

- malerischer Ausblick

Cons:

- wir erhielten immer wieder fleckige Handtücher (wurden auf Nachfrage aber unkompliziert getauscht)
- auf dem Dach war eine Abgasanlage o.ä. die konstant sehr laut und störend war, daher konnten wir nur mit Ohrstöpseln schlafen und uns nicht entspannt in der Suite aufhalten
