Room door would not lock on our way out to a concert (right after we checked in). It took about 45 min to get it fixed ans we were late to the concert and misses the first act. We tried to get early check in, but they advised they were booked. The ceiling also had alot of patchwork done on it and not completed (like it had water damage). Not happy that i paid almost $500 for a one night stay in a room where the door does not operate.
The room was nice. The options as a whole were good, but location was why I booked this room.
All the elevators were awful. One didn't work, one barely worked, and the other guests were as awful as humanly possible to be about elevator etiquette.
Didn't get breakfast
Air conditioner filters were not in place. They were laying on top of the unit.
Very clean and close to our event. Staff was accommodating and arranged for us to have our rooms beside each other.
GPS took us on the other side of parking lot.
Location was great, close to everything and room was nice and clean, I did not have breakfast so can't comment on that but I believe you have to pay for it, not sure....
There was a hidden parking fee of $20 that I was not aware of until I got home. Also, the walls are thin at this hotel so hearing the neighbors leaving early the next morning was kinda crappy.
There were a few items that need to be repaired in Room 230. Both sink stoppers don't work, the commode in the front sticks, the couch is torn and badly patched.
Breakfast was good and room was clean.
Property charged me for parking when we purposely parked on the street not to pay the $20 a day for parking. No one ever asked me about parking or if I even had a car there. IMHO this property was trying to steal $40 dollars from me. Called for refund, said they would take care of. If I do not see that they have refunded my money I will be reporting this to the BBB in Birmingham. Plus, posting to all my socials and my private business groups.

Wednesday mid-morning I went back to my room and found my room opened, with no housekeeping staff or their cart in sight. I brought this to the GM attention, and she was trying to find out why as we were staying all week. We also had issues with the barn type door on the bathroom (ridiculous to have this type of door as a bathroom door) it would not stay shut and had no proper way to keep it closed. After maintenance made several adjustments with no good outcome, we just used a crushed cup in door to keep it closed. Was told by the GM that she would give a free night stay in points on my Hilton App (still waiting on that to show up on my App). She did give me a 50 $ credit for breakfast for the maintenance issues and that was appreciated. The food was excellent that we got from the kitchen. Very Nice Staff
