Ceylon Olive

Absolutely the best place to stay I did two weeks in the Olive Bungalow surrounded by a tropical garden. As a solo you never know if you are going to be crammed in somewhere but just the opposite. Spacious with an excellent breakfast every day. Kumudu and his team were so supportive. Tuk tuk on hand whenever I needed. Info about places to go. A great base to travel around the south and then come back to tranquility. I almost don’t want to share this because it’s so special. People arrive and go off elsewhere in their journey of discovery of Sri Lanka. One or two nights stay is fine but to really discover ‘heaven’ stay a little longer. It’s so worth it. Lovely family run boutique hotel

Wir hatten einen rundum wunderbaren Aufenthalt in diesem charmanten, kleinen Hotel – ein echtes Hidden Gem. Schon beim Check-in wurden wir herzlich empfangen, und der Service war während des gesamten Aufenthalts aufmerksam, professionell und ausgesprochen freundlich.

Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber, modern und komfortabel eingerichtet. Besonders die ruhige Atmosphäre hat unseren Aufenthalt zu einer echten Erholung gemacht. Das Frühstück war frisch, abwechslungsreich und liebevoll zubereitet.

Ein ganz besonderes Dankeschön gilt Era, dem Hausmeister der Anlage. Sein TukTuk-Service war unbezahlbar – er hat uns überall hingebracht und jederzeit zuverlässig wieder abgeholt. So viel Herzlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft erlebt man nicht überall.

Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und kommen sehr gerne wieder. Absolute Empfehlung!

This family-run small hotel is a little gem & a perfect choice for visiting Galle.
We stayed two nights in the Olive room, up in the trees with private balcony (where breakfadt is served). The green garden and the small pool are perfect to relax. WiFi works well.
Most importantly, Kumudu is a perfect host! His staff will take you to Galle Fort and pick you up again by Tuktuk; it’s just an 8 minute ride.

Room was amazing, breakfast for each hotel guest on their terrace/balcony was very special.

Situé en dehors du fort, à quelques minutes en tuk tuk, non loin de la plage non plus, cet établissement est superbe. Le calme, la beauté du lieu, le jardin luxuriant, la piscine, les chambres (au demeurant très bien meublées) avec leur terrasse individuelle où le personnel vous sert le petit déjeuner, toujours avec le sourire, la gentillesse du propriétaire, bref, tout est parfait. Nous avons fini notre séjour au Sri Lanka à Galle, je regrette simplement de n’y être restée que 3 nuits !

About a mile from the centre of Galle set back from the road, this is a wonderful family-owned guesthouse with a quiet elegance with rooms nestling amongst the trees. The rooms are roomy airy and immaculately clean. I had both English and Sri Lankan breakfasts and both were excellent. The owner and manager Kumudu could not have been more charming and helpful. The remainder of the staff were discreet helpful and always smiling. Special mention to Era my tuk tuk driver who was efficient reliable and highly skilled.

離加勒古堡5分鐘車程，出行非常方便，坐落在二十幾米的小山崗上，房間和園林及山岩融為一體，開門即是自然，開窗即是翠綠，可謂鬧中取靜。服務非常體貼周到，隨後都在但絕不打擾，頭一天會詢問早餐口味，早早守候著，客人起床開門後馬上現做，幾分鐘就送餐到門口，坐在林間享受早餐，今天選擇了本地餐，本地風味早餐很好吃，香料口感清雅細膩層次豐富，不是寡淡、乾辣或油膩。錫蘭紅茶口感醇厚，伴茶的牛奶溫度剛剛好。上午躺在躺椅，在綠色圍成的院落里看著藍天白雲放空，早晨或下午適合游泳，午後適合massage。老闆非常真誠和文明。晚上走在碎石子路上，可以聞到各種奇異的幽香，清晨方才發現繁花似錦。Ceylon Olive Galle – A Garden Where Ceylon Meets Contemporary Art
Among the many boutique hotels inside Galle Fort, Ceylon Olive Galle stands out as a place of remarkable design. The owner, who studied in the UK before returning home to inherit the family business, personally designed every detail of the hotel. We quickly found ourselves sharing similar ideas about space, nature, and life, and our conversations flowed easily and warmly.The room design is instantly impressive. Colonial-style verandas meet a postmodern bathroom, creating a contrast that feels both bold and harmonious. The room is immaculately clean—there is none of the damp smell often found in seaside hotels. The shower features an open-air courtyard: sunlight pours in during the day, and at night, you can shower beneath a sky full of stars.Brilliant sunlight brings the garden to life, giving the trees vivid colors and joyful energy. The room is wrapped in lush greenery. No matter where you look—through the door or out the window—you see sunlight in motion: colorful reflections, dancing shadows, rustling leaves, and the quiet calls of birds.The pool lies hidden trees like a piece of jade

Lovely property and very friendly and helpful team.

This place is a cool, green oasis near the centre of Galle. We stayed in a family room with a pool view. The accommodation was spotlessly clean. It was really fantastic to wake up to the sounds of nature, have breakfast on the terrace and then enjoy the pool. We definitely recommend this accommodation.

Super place in the jungle. Perfect for chilling out.

We had a wonderful stay at Ceylon Olive, and it truly felt like a home away from home.
The hotel is owned and personally managed by Kumudu, who is a kind, humble, and welcoming person.
You can really feel the care and attention he puts into the place! :)

The rooms were clean and beautifully maintained. We stayed in the Superior Double with a terrace and jungle view, and it was so peaceful and relaxing to wake up to that!

The staff were also kind and helpful. We were given the option to choose between a home cooked English breakfast or Sri Lankan breakfast. Both were yummy!

We had also requested a late checkout for an extra hour, and Kumudu was generous enough to allow it without any hesitation, which we really appreciated.

Overall, a beautiful place with warm hospitality and great attention to detail.

Уютный зеленый отель, вкусный английский завтрак, прекрасный персонал. Останавливались в отеле после перелета по дороге в отель на побережье. Заехали поздно вечером в новый, чистый, комфортный номер. Единственное для меня жесткий матрас, супругу было комфортно. Хорошее белье и белоснежные полотенца, удобные подушки. Очень гостеприимный хозяин отеля, всегда готов помочь с любыми вопросами. Ночью в отеле было тихо, хорошо выспались после дороги.
