Only good thing about this hotel is the view but you can't see it at night as the bar always has a private party going on - 2 years running we found this.
Breakfast compared to last year took over an hr, cold and hard. Obviously been under heat lamps and not cooked fresh as stated. No cups (had paper ones) long queues for 1 coffee machine. No spoons, dishes or plates. No orange juice or honey. When asked for items to be replenished ie pastries and fruit - they never came. Tables were not cleared off.
We were supposed to have complimentary drinks on arrival but the restaurant staff knew nothing about this. When finally agreed I had to open the bottles myself, poor it and take it to 36 people outside. A good start to my holiday. The staircase was locked so anyone with a lift anxiety had to suffer!
Staff rude and reception staff didn't look up from their phones.
Will not be going again! Good location but that's about the best you get.
location is premium!
lifts are very slow
Location and the very helpful staff. Breakfast was great. Fantastic views from the rooftop
Firm bed. Compact room but that’s London
Ligging, hygiëne, vriendelijk personeel
Liften wat traag
Room was so clean and comfortable.
The chairs in the dining room were filthy and worn out. The view was great but the chairs were uncomfortable and low lounge chairs instead of dining chairs and were so close I was touching the person sitting on the next table. Very awkward.
Great location in Leicester Square
Room was a tad small but was ok for one night
The location was fantastic, as was the views on the rooftop. Your reception staff were helpful and friendly too.
Access to hotel is hard with large suitcases as no ramp and staff don’t help.
Staff at bar outside the nighttime weren’t helpful - we had lots of meetings at hotel - hard to get table and coffees-water
Fabulous location.
Nothing
Great location, roof terrace and lovely room
I was originally given a ‘windowless room’ which absolutely wouldn’t have been value for money. They changed it but in the next room the air conditioning wasn’t working when I arrived and then even when it turned on and I called reception it didn’t work. Uncomfortable 2 nights as it was very hot in London that weekend. A shame as the room itself and the amenities were lovely.
Le rooftop vue exceptionnelle
Trop de bruit dans le restaurant
A friend and myself visited for one night last weekend, the staff were amazing upgraded us to a Premier room which had views off the London eye, big ben and the houses of Parliament, fantastic hotel, would definitely visit again next time I'm in London.
Everything was great , location perfect, rooms great , staff really nice especially Nancy in the restaurant and bar she looked after us constantly
Nothing
Good location. Rooftop bar was nice
We didn’t know there was no window in the room and the chair had a white stain…
Location was very good
The reception staff were extremely rude, unfriendly, and unprofessional. There were seven of us, and although we had not requested early check-in, they asked us to pay an extra fee for it.
We asked if they could store our luggage until check-in time, but they said it wouldn’t be possible to keep all of our bags—only some of them. Naturally, we did not accept this.
One person from our group eventually paid for early check-in, and we placed all our luggage in that room until the check-in time, then left.
When we returned and tried to check in, the receptionist said there was no reservation under my name and asked me to provide the confirmation code. After I showed it, she eventually found the booking, but only with difficulty.
I have been using Booking.com since 2011, and I have never experienced such an issue before.
The reception staff, in particular, were very inexperienced and unprofessional. I asked two simple questions to two different receptionists.
For the first question, I asked: “If I want to call another room, do I need to dial any prefix before the room number, or can I just dial the room number directly?” The receptionist replied uncertainly, “I think you just dial the room number.”
For the second question, I asked: “Is there a restroom in the reception lobby area?” The receptionist responded, “I’m not sure if there is one.”
I then asked, “What do you mean you’re not sure? Don’t you work here?”
