Pros:

Thr rooms were very comfortable for the price. All clean and tidy. Easy to get to and from Hereford and the surrounding area. I found the staff Charlie and Olie very friendly . Their food looked amazing, and they said they were making evenmore improvement to the menu . We had a chat with a few locals and were also very friendly. Would definitely come back .

I would rebook without hesitation
Pros:

Awesome building, beautifully appointed and exceptionally clean and Charlie and Ollie made me very welcome

Cons:

The duvet was too heavy and the pillows too firm for my liking

Lovely property. Would have been a fabulous stay had there been HOT (rather than warm) water.
Pros:

Beautiful building.
Great locality - very close into Hereford (but you will need a car for that). Ample parking outside.
Nice room - clean and charismatic.
Staff seemed very pleasant.

Cons:

I so wanted to give this property a good review but in honesty can't when THERE WAS NO HOT WATER. Hand warm only - and that's not enough when you come back tired and yearning for a reviving hot shower. It will only make you feel colder.
This appears to be an ongoing problem and I think it is unacceptable to accept bookings when you know this. Being able to have a hot shower is one of the fundamentals of booking accommodation (unless you're somewhere really warm!) and the Godwins failed spectacularly in this aspect. It was too late and too expensive to rebook elsewhere.

Very comfortable stay in a lovely place.
Pros:

The ease of access, staff were very pleasant, the room was clean, tidy and very comfortable. The bed was the most comfortable bed we’ve slept in apart from our own! The room even had a small fridge (we stayed in room 4).

Cons:

The only slight grumble was there didn’t seem to be much hot water.

Ideal stop over, not central for anything on foot, but convenient and very good value.
Pros:

Had an issue with my room ( high pitched whine coming from Bathroom, possibly ceiling above) making it for me, unbearable, spoke to staff explained, staff was extremely helpful and gave me a great upgrade . Thank you . Plenty of free parking, and tho I don’t drink, the Bar downstairs seemed popular ( and wasn’t noisy ) Stunning and easily missed countryside if you venture a few miles the opposite side of the road.

Cons:

High pitched noise ( I’m very sensitive to high pitched sounds, not everyone will be ) , and the initial room looked directly from my bed, across a short roof, directly into another room, no net curtains, absolutely no privacy unless curtains drawn. It’s not a grand Manor House in the country with lush gardens, it’s on a main road just for your info.

Great location and value for money
Pros:

Beautiful building, we rented the cottage for our wedding day in Hereford and it was absolutely perfect. The staff were fantastic in helping us source a taxi last minute and generally very helpful.

Pleasant stay in a beautiful location
Pros:

I loved the room and the location. The facilities were very good and the bed very comfortable. Didnt try the food but it looked good and the hotel was full of guests and locals. Nice stay in a beautiful location

Cons:

There s no reception area to check in so had to wait at the bar to get my keys. You are told on info its not a manned hotel but still i think maybe a keysafe would be handy rather than waiting at a bar with luggage. As it was very busy. The window shutters werent working on sash windows so couldnt open the windows in room 2.

Pros:

Clean, comfortable, helpful staff.
Had a fridge in the room, working wifi, and a lovely bar downstairs that has amazing food.
Free parking was available too.

Cons:

Unfortunately the shower was freezing, wouldn’t heat up, other than that it was perfect:)

My room was double booked although bookings.com had taken my money! Then they tried to throw me out at 9pm, (I was in bed!) to make way for the other guest as the pub was full! Thank goodness he was happy to find alternative accommodation!
