Great location a shame about the chain smoker next door

We could not use our balcony that we had booked as the room next door chain smoked in the morning and also later afternoon when we were hoping to w joy it.
Totally appreciate you have no control over other guests but had we appreciated it would be so unpleasant to open our room door we would not have booked this type of room as it felt like we could not enjoy the benefit of it.

Small dark room but very tranquil, great location and really helpful staff.

Surprisingly quiet and tranquil.
Breakfast options reasonably priced and a few options to choose from.

Cons:

The room was very small and situated at the back of the hotel looking onto a wall so it was extremely dark. To save space the bathroom was inside the bedroom divided only by a partly glass partition. This meant if you used the bathroom light it disturbed whoever was sleeping as it shone directly onto the bed.

Overpriced your paying for location

Awful to get too, dont stay if driving definitely not recommend if on motorcycle
Hundreds of drinkers sat outside front of hotel door in evening.. awful room below by a side street a back of hotel. Breakfast ok nothing special. Charging room rate on location really.

A very enjoyable stay in a stylish hotel close to San Sebastián old town.
Pros:

A lovely boutique hotel convenient for the old town of San Sebastián.
Our top floor room was very spacious and had a fantastic view over the bay. Their breakfast manu had a good choice. The staff were lovely.

Cons:

During Setemana Grande there was a concert venue right outside and it was noisy during the evening and small hours. We were told about this and we’re happy to take in the atmosphere of the event.

I first have to highlight the excellent staff - friendly, professional, and always ready to assist. Our room was modern and comfortable. The location of the hotel is very convenient to Old Town and beaches. A very nice breakfast is available at SANSEbay too. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Cons:

As has been pointed out in other reviews, there is no way to turn on the bathroom light without lighting up the entire room. We worked around this using a small nightlight plugged into the bathroom. In summary, we will return to SANSEbay on future visits to this beautiful city.
