Sydney Olympic Park Apartment

Not enough bedding, linen, or towels provided
Scotia coming away from walls, toddler trip hazard.
Beds very uncomfortable.

It was a beautiful apartment but showing a few signs of wear and tear. The bed in the master bedroom was much more comfy than the other bedroom.

The fridge wasn’t working on arrival and took a while to locate the thermostat as it is hidden behind the shelf. The dishwasher and washing machine cannot be operated at the same time. The two bathroom showers can also not operate at the same time. There is a real water pressure problem in the unit. The lounge and lounge room rug are dirty and need a deep clean or replacing. We requested several times and had it confirmed in writing to have the sofa bed made up and this did not happen. There were no hand towels in the bathrooms or kitchen. Not enough toilet paper and not enough bin liners. We stayed for 6 nights (two separate bookings) and requested a service on the Wednesday (mid week), this was confirmed in writing, but never happened. The mattress in the second bedroom is very hard and uncomfortable. Towels are thin.

We arrived to find our car park taken. Even after contacting the host the car never moved. After a 6 hour drive to not have the designated park was very disappointing.

The washing machine was congested with soap suds and left dirty.
A bin in a bathroom had rubbish in it from previous booking
One of the beds had a lot of black long hair on the bottom Sheet
Was an inconvenience to wait until 3pm before receiving keys to the room.

Unfortunately it would have been a 10 except for:
The lounge was a bit battered, both arm rests 'sunken', sounded like it was ready to crack when sat on. Only 1 X 3 seater.
The pillows in the main bedroom were very big and hard. Impossible to sleep on for both of us.
No top sheets which was a bit strange.

The previous reviews mentions minor cleaning issues, unfortunately for us we would consider the properties cleanliness to be very poor. There was also (as previously mentioned in reviews) only 1 drinking glass, 3 spoons etc it would have been nice to have more. The ensuite toilet wasn't working, which we weren't told about. Recieved a message the day before checkout saying a plumber could come. There was quite a lot of surface dust and dustbunnies under furniture. We would stay in the neighbourhood again, but we won't be returning to this unit unfortunately.

The bed was very firm, and did not make a comfortable sleep. Taps in the bathroom were very lose.

Did not cater for a family of five
Only one drinking glass, not enough spoons.
Only four thread bare towels
No linen for sofa bed only a stained doona with no cover
Not enough seating needs another sofa
Floor needs a good clean especially the rug

That a car was parked in our parking spot which put pressure on us as there was no visitor parking available and we parked in a retail spot. There was lots on signage to say do not park in the retail spots.

The toaster caused the electricity to short/ cut out. The fuse had to be turned back on. (We left a note for the cleaning staff .)

Could not get the oven to grill…….. would not heat up.

Fly screens would be good so that the doors could be left open for ventilation.

A lid for the saucepan and more drinking glasses ( there is only one).
