I stayed at The Bowery Hotel for 3 nights on a recent visit to NYC and enjoyed it immensely. Quiet luxury, very helpful and friendly staff. Little extras were a surprise. My standard room was large, well appointed and quiet. On a very busy day, staff reserved a table in the garden room for me and my guests to enjoy cocktails. Wonderful attention to detail, I look forward to staying there again on my next visit.
I have stayed at The Bowery a few times, and each time is better than the last—and they’ve all been outstanding. From the moment I walk in the doors, everyone I interact with is polite and professional. All areas of the hotel are well-maintained and clean, from the elevators and the hallways to the bar and the lobby, and especially the rooms. The location is amazing. The neighborhood is very walkable, obviously, and it is near subway stations. Yes, it’s not a cheap option, but it is worth it.
Hello…this boutique hotel is a gem! Staff is warm, welcoming and professional ! And room service still EXISTS!! I had a hot latte delivered and was greeted by lovely staff member at 6:45 am…who knew???
A “must” for busy visit to the city!

The Bowery Hotel truly feels like my home away from home. I travel to New York frequently for work and always choose to stay here. The service is exceptional, the staff is consistently warm and welcoming, and Gemma is my favorite spot for drinks or casual work meetings. The rooms are comfortable, well-appointed, and impeccably clean. I can’t recommend this hotel enough.
I walked into The Bowery Hotel thinking I was a sophisticated traveller. I left convinced I was a character in a Wes Anderson film who accidentally discovered what real cool feels like.
From the moment you step into that dark, moody, leather-scented lobby with the roaring fireplace, you realise this isn’t just a hotel — it’s a mood. It’s giving “old money who summered in the Hamptons but wintered in a rock ‘n’ roll loft.” The staff are so effortlessly charming they make you feel underdressed even when you’re wearing your best “I tried” outfit. One bellman looked at me like I was already famous. I immediately stood up straighter and started pretending I had important opinions about art.
The rooms? Stupidly sexy. Floor-to-ceiling windows, plush beds that hug you like they missed you, and bathrooms so beautiful I took more photos of the marble than of actual New York. I ordered 24/7 room service at 2am just because I could, and the truffle fries arrived faster than my ex ever did. The mini-bar? Dangerous. I may have emotionally eaten an entire jar of olives while staring at the city lights like a heartbroken poet.
Location-wise, you’re perfectly placed in the Lower East Side — close enough to Soho to feel fancy, close enough to the East Village to accidentally join a band at 3am. The hotel itself feels like the coolest secret in Manhattan. Even the lobby bar makes you want to dramatically swirl your cocktail and whisper secrets to strangers.
Downsides? None. Unless you count the fact that I now have unrealistic expectations for every other hotel on earth. I cried a little when I checked out. The front desk lady just smiled knowingly, like she’s seen this breakdown a thousand times.
If you want a sterile, soulless chain hotel, go somewhere else. If you want to feel like the main character in the sexiest, coziest, most stylish version of your life… book The Bowery immediately.
I’m already planning my return. Possibly with a fake name and a better wardrobe.
Would I stay again? I’m mentally moving in.
Service , welcome . Always remember your name
I had to most enchanting time staying at the Bowery Hotel. The old world charm, impeccable service and gorgeous lounge area with decadent decor transported me to the gilded ages and was a perfect place to stay for my bday weekend celebration. Cannot recommend this place enough. Its hard to go to another place once you experienced the magic of this place.
I love the Bowery Hotel. I used to live in the east village and now when I come visit I feel relaxed knowing I’ll be right in my old neighborhood, and so well taken care of at the Bowery. I had a massage with Maria again this last trip and she is awesome.
