Hotel Santa Cruz

Very central hotel with wonderful staff. The receptionist Darcio, was always smiling, even at 04.30 in the morning and helped me with with my suitcase. Recommend!

I stayed here for a few days with my family while working on a project in Mozambique. The Hotel is simply awful. From the initial impact to the last day I stayed, it was a terrible experience.
The Hotel looks super old fashioned and uncomfortable. The people who work there are generally ineffective and unfriendly, with few exceptions from an employee who worked the night shift.
Internet is a real joke. There is no internet in the rooms. The only place where you have the internet is in the hall of the hotel but it is slow and it is worth mentioning that many days it did not work.
The room I stayed in was spacious and the cleaning of the same it was reasonable but again the decor is horrible. The bathroom was very little functional. Toilet flushing was broken during the entire stay despite complaining to staff several times. It had to be me to improvise a temporary solution to be able to function minimally during the stay. It is impossible to bathe without soaking the entire bathroom. Hot water only lasts for a person's ultra-quick shower and then has to wait an eternity for it to warm up again. One day I had to wait almost 1 hour to have water ....... several trips to the reception ..... it took forever to open the supposed reservation reservoirs and they were still rude when I complained that I wanted to take a shower after a day of work........
Everywhere in the hotel and even in the room, there are holes in the ceiling and walls with exposed cables and plumbing, broken locks, and sometimes a sticky liquid running under a door into the hallway. A certain occasion we had a tray with dirty dishes placed in a hole about 1 meter from our door, which remained there for at least 48 hours...
The restaurant is something from another planet, almost without variety, and it takes an eternity ..... breakfast more than poor, bread, sometimes a little cheese and a piece of fruit .... hot water to make coffee and milk.
I do not recommend at all, this hotel, unless you have nowhere to stay and just want to spend a night or a few hours before heading off elsewhere.

NUNCA funciono el Internet.
La mas baja calidad de papel de sanitario. Agua caliente no hubo,
Todo escaso en el SERVICIO de desayuno, Una sevilleta por Mesa por CLIENTE,
UNA Tajada de queso por cliente, un mini huevo, pan escaso, bolsa de té una por cliente etc .
Lo salva la amabilidad de el personal de recepción, .
