Taisyoike Hotel, Kamikochi

従業員さんが皆さん親切でした。

The hotel is a bit outdated as others wrote. It’s simple though big rooms with view of the pond. The breakfast and dinner was very good with view of the pond. The hot bath is nice with view to the pond, though it’s no Onsen (hot spring/vulcanite water). And it’s the perfect start to walk the 4-5h round trip. The bus stop is directly in the front of the hotel. If you take the bus to Kamikochi, get off one stop before(!) the final stop if you wanna go to the hotel first. Further, if you buy the bus ticket in the hotel you get ~50% discount. They also can bring your luggage to Kamikochi Bus Terminal but you also can drop it off at a service counter at the Bus Terminal (no coin lockers anywhere available). Taxi is only operated by fixed price and very expensive. As the hotel is directly at the pond, it’s perfect if you plan to shoot eg pictures during the night/early morning as you walk 20m and you are there.

Hôtel vieillissant, au confort rudimentaire. Personnel accueillant. Cuisine moyenne. Mais bien placé près du lac et pour faire des balades

酒店在大正池巴士站，可從酒店看大正池，有大浴池，房間整潔，晚餐及早餐都很好吃，由酒店行往大正池不用1分鐘，可看晨曦及黄昏的大正池

我住湖景的洋房，景觀一流，可以望到大正池。房間設備齊全，有私人浴室，或者可以選擇到大浴場。一泊二食，食物質素可以接受。清晨5點可以走到大正池欣賞迷霧之景，以及看日出。

就在大正池旁，清晨可以去湖邊散步。
飯店前面就有站牌，交通方便。
比河童橋那邊幽靜許多，喜歡清靜的人可以住這兒，喜歡熱鬧的人則不適宜住這兒。

The staff and service were excellent. The property was a bit outdated. Wish the mattresses and pillows were not so hard. Overall the staff was great. The kitchen prepared excellent Japanese food. Would recommend this facility to my family and friends. I would also stay here on my next trip to Japan.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Taisyoike Hotel. It was a great base to experience Kamikochi from. The front desk staff were very helpful and accommodating, the food delicious, and the spacious rooms were a nice change from the city. I would highly recommend.

大浴場の湯船は１つですが、綺麗で、眺めも最高でした。
コインランドリーがあるのも助かりました。

部屋から大正池が見えてロケーションが素晴らしかった。また、スタッフの対応もとても親切で良かったです。
日本人以外のスタッフの方も丁寧な日本語で対応してくれました。
夜はフロントに準備されてる懐中電灯を片手に外に出て満天の星空を楽しみました。
大正池の方にも降りて行きましたが条件が揃わなかったのか池に星空はうつらなかったのは残念でした。
翌朝の朝霧が立ちこめる大正池も綺麗でした。
また、来たいと思います。

施設の方の対応は、親切でした。レストランなどでは、外国人のスタッフの方が何人もいらっしゃいましたが、丁寧に対応してくださいました。スタッフの方々の教育が行き届いているとおもいました。また、利用したいと思います。

Very good

good base for hiking in kamikochi national park as the hotel offers trails right on location. The view of the pond was spectacular. Note that there is no real onsen but a public bath in this hotel.

山の食事なので仕方ないとして、目的は絶景だったので上高地を堪能できて良かった。
レストランや部屋からの眺めは最高だった。

The location is excellent. Right next to Taisho Pond. The restaurant and the public bath are newly renovated and the visitor can view the panoramic view of Taisho Pond, which is gorgeous. The dinner and breakfast are included. I strongly suggested to stay on the superior pond view room as this type of room are newly renovated on the 3rd floor and well above the pond. We selected the normal pond view room and is located on the 1/F. The view is greatly affected and noises from the hikers and walkers are easily heard.
