I will probably not stay in this hotel again. While I am not saying that it is very bad, you come to expect certain things in a hotel, and this one fails at most of them.

The room itself was not bad. In fact I would say the rooms were good. There are 2 buildings for rooms and me and my friend (with his family) got separate buildings. My room was bigger but with no kitchenette. My room also had no reception or hotel stuff on duty.

The place can be very noisy, specially since I was there during the football world cup, but even without a game, the place can be noisy at random. One night there was a group of people partying on the balcony next to my room past 1 am.

You have to request for any and everything. This is my main issue. For complimentary water, for toilet paper for room cleaning.... everything. I didn't ask mostly and so I did not receive. Room service was confusing. I could see some rooms getting food delivered but there was no room service from the hotel restaurant. I forgot to mention, my friends wife had to clean their room each time after house keeping cleaned it. She said they didn't clean it properly.

WiFi is not good in the main building but I got ok WiFI in my room. WiFi was not important for me.

But the location is good. Not as crowded as Thamel but a good selection of restaurants and cafes around. Good parking space if you have friends meeting you.

With better service, this could be a nice place. But if service is not important, or if you have low expectations regarding service, this could be a nice place for you to stay. But if you want some service without asking explicitly for it, then this is not for you.

This was my first time in Kathmandu and Tangalwood hotel.

The location is in Naxal area which is central Kathmandu, only 10 minutes drive from Airport.

Hotel staff arranged one good guide and cab. It was very helpful for my entire time in Nepal.

stayed for about 2 weeks and experienced some good service, good luxurious rooms in affordable price, highly recommend it. the main thing i loved about tangalwood was the structure of the rooms and the building. such a vintage and relaxing structure

公寓的设计者不同凡想，尼泊尔风情的旧旧的实木，配上全明大玻璃的阳台和窗户，即使是背光的房间，光线也是充足的；欧式开放厨房，设施特别好！做中餐也没问题。（订房时注意要订标有“带餐具”的房间。）加德满都最好的超市走路五分钟，做做饭看看书，特别适合休闲度假。院子很大，里面有一个著名的Bar，我还赶上了新年演出和婚礼，好不热闹。Bar经营到深夜，在电力不足的加德满都，晚上不会觉得荒。楼下的餐馆很好吃，同一条街上还有多家不错的餐馆供选择。热水和Wifi不是很稳定，但可以满足需要，在加德满都算不错的。总之，我溜达了加德满都大部分城区，比较了主要酒店网站和Airbnb，首选了这儿。实际入住证明我的选择还不错，就这儿的条件和地段来说，价格比同等条件的酒店大概要便宜30%，以后再来，我肯定还是首选这儿。

This was my third time in Kathmandu and my second time in Tangalwood Hotel, and I can ENSURE you it is NOT the same HOTEL anymore.

If you are looking for good spot to spend nightlife and have fun, this is the place!

However, if you are looking for a QUITE place, or BUSINESS TRIP, DO NOT take this hotel as an option, PLEASE!

Why? If you are interested, my story below.

After 20 hours flight, I checked in 11 pm in a wrong room where there was not even a hot water to take a shower, refresh and go to bed. Bad night! They changed my room following morning, ok!

Cleaning is not the same as well, and to get worst, I had to ask for shampoo, soap, etc., I had to call to front desk every SINGLE day asking for hot water. Sheets I believe was never changed! I stayed 11 nights!

They improved their facilities and the good spot (restaurant, club, bar/nightlife) became very nice. However, private parties, private celebrations, private events, every SINGLE night! If you need to work next day, prepare yourself, you will not fall asleep before 10-11 pm, weekends 12 am!

Room service? Forget if there is a private party! The hotel does not have a room service and you have to figure it out after end of business day if you want to have dinner!

Wi-Fi connection TERRIBLE, 80% of time instable, no connection, etc.

Don’t believe in all amenities included on ALL websites! Welcome drinks, discounts or everything that you read! Never happened, the staff is not prepared.

The Calm Restaurant supports Tangalwood room service, terrible staff, no consistency for meal presentation, depends who is preparing it, changes drastically.

The point is: it costs around USD 80/night, you can find hotels with same standard service as Tangalwood much cheaper, and if you are willing to spend a little bit more you can stay at Yak &Yeti, Hyatt or Radisson hotels. I visited them, not stayed, but seems to be nice for Kathmandu.

Yeah Raj Luitel, you have to improve so much your service. But thanks for everything, I survived.

One of the best hotel I've ever stayed in. Clean room, friendly staffs and the best thing was the location. Got two different restaurants and a night club inside the same compound, and a supermarket in a walking distance. Would love to be back soon.

One stay is never enough. One of the most clean and cozy place to stay in Kathmandu at such good price. Located close to most happening places inside Kathmandu. 10mins Cab ride to thamel. This hotel is located inside a private hub where u have restaurants, club and bar everyplace is seconds away from ur room.
Private , cozy rooms and helpful staffs.
You will feel like home for sure.
