light-transmitting, but opaque windows in the room
I did quite like the hotel after I rented a family suite. Differently from deluxe single room it was clean and spacy and cheaper, too - just like a fully another hotel. And staff was very helpful and gave me a free early check-in.
Well, no complaints for the family suit. Only the keycard system in elevator was senseless as there were stairs (dirty and dark but open). I did fly away before the breakfast so I cant comment it in this review.
Well, the lobby looked clean and nice, the staff was very helpful and when I wanted to rent a suit for the last day and evening before flight then we did get an early check-in for free (while late check-out would have been expensive). The roof terrace with breakfast buffet looked good.
The room named Deluxe Single Room was small, worn out and did stink in the direct meaning of the word. And the bedding looked unclean and used for long time. A friend had deluxe single room just below me and it was as bad if not worse. And the breakfast was always cold no matter what time you did go to the roof terrace. Also you were able to use elevator only for lobby, your own floor and roof - using keycard. If you wanted to visit a friend on another floor then you had to use stairs.

The staff are very friendly
The rooms are very old. Imagine the most worn-out room you’ve ever seen in your life.
Clean & comfortable
We stayed at the hotel for two weeks in February 2025. The hotel is very conveniently located (5-7 minutes by taxi from the Shwedagon Pagoda, Sule Pagoda, and the zoo). The hotel is not new, which is especially noticeable in the bathroom (the walls need painting) and in the smell in the room, but we got used to it. The shower pressure is very good, there is hot water. The rooms are quite large. The furniture in the room is of good quality (a large wardrobe, 2 beds, a bedside table for TV, bedside tables. There is no kettle, but hot water and everything you need for a comfortable stay are brought upon request. I would like to note the very attentive, very friendly hotel staff! They made our holiday in Yangon unforgettable!
