Great location. Ease of finding and parking.
The one issue was the length of time to get elevators. They are also shared with the cleaning staff, and I know those folks have to work hard, but, inevitably, they need those elevators the same time as departing guests, guests going to breakfast etc. it didn’t help that only two elevators were in service.
Maybe set aside one elevator for staff???
Ottima posizione, colazione varia e abbondante
Troppo costosa la camera e il parcheggio giornaliero che ti fanno pagare a parte.
Great room set up staff was helpful and friendly
Our AC wasn’t working correctly. We didn’t realize this until getting back to our room late. We were offered another room but our kids were already asleep. Then the next morning before check out we discovered we had also had no hot water.
Great room and great view from the 10th floor. Overall, a horrible experience due to the bass and club noise until 3am even on the 10th floor. You could feel and hear the bass and clubs. The room wasn't ready by the 3pm check-in. The staff was not friendly and even forced their way onto an already packed elevator.
The areas around the hotel where we were supposed to be able to relax were dirty. The Monday morning check out staff were rude, dismissive and not even able to help us find a luggage cart. And there were two people there.
Excellent location.
Pool lacks ambience.
Great location for walking to the pier and restaurants. Room was large.
Breakfast area was small and hard to get a seat.
Room was not cleaned daily. I had to call every day for someone to clean and bring fresh towels at the end of each long day. I have stayed at this hotel before with no problems but this was by far my worst stay. Additionally, I have reached out to the manager but have not received a response.
One of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had.
We booked a room at Hyatt Place Downtown St. Petersburg expecting a comfortable stay and instead spent the night in a room with an air conditioning system that would not properly cool the room. We were traveling with our 4-month-old baby, and trying to sleep in a hot room in Florida was absolutely miserable.
What made the situation even worse was the hotel’s response afterward. Instead of taking responsibility for the fact that paying guests were unable to sleep comfortably, management chose to dismiss our experience by repeatedly claiming that the room was inspected the following day and appeared to be working. What happened the next day is irrelevant. We paid for a room that night, not the next day.
Stephen Witts’ response showed very little empathy, accountability, or concern for guest satisfaction. Rather than acknowledging the inconvenience and discomfort his hotel caused, he focused on defending the property and minimizing our experience. As a customer, it felt insulting to be told, in effect, that what we experienced did not matter because the room later passed inspection.
The front desk experience was equally disappointing. Michael offered little assistance beyond basic responses and failed to provide the level of service one would expect from a Hyatt property when a guest reports a serious issue affecting their stay.
The most frustrating part is that this entire situation could have been resolved with genuine customer service and accountability. Instead, we were left feeling dismissed, ignored, and blamed for a problem that was clearly beyond our control.
We paid for a comfortable room, received a sleepless night, and then had to argue to have our concerns taken seriously. That is not hospitality. That is poor customer service.
I would strongly encourage travelers to consider other options in St. Petersburg. If something goes wrong during your stay, do not expect meaningful support, accountability, or a fair resolution
Great hotel in an excellent downtown St. Pete location. Clean rooms and great staff. Highly recommend for affordability and room quality.
