Pros:

The stuff was welcoming and very nice.

Pros:

We liked the staff, the room and the beach, the food was also very good.

Cons:

The swimming pool tiles are poorly fitted, so my husband cut his hand on one of them during our honeymoon. The hotel was not able to provide disinfectant nor did they have an emergency kit. Parents, be careful!

Highly recommend. Tropical luxury.
Pros:

We loved it all. The Staff were very helpful and attentive: Jahan particularly; thank you. The Cabana and bed were large, clean and well stocked. The beds were very comfortable and the A-C v effective. The food was delicious. The drinks v reasonably priced.

Amazing rooms, but barren and boring resort with no atmosphere
Pros:

The rooms were beautiful, the details were so thoughtfully planned and put together, the beds were so comfortable and the size of the rooma and bathroom (including outside shower) was fantastic. BUT...

Cons:

There is nothing to do at the resort. I wouldn't even call this a resort. The landscape is bare, with barely any plants or seating areas. There is no spa or massage, which would be great at this place to give you something to do. The name suggests you can surf at the resort, but you can't... and you can't even really swim in the ocean there. There are no sunbeds or seats on the beach, which is really odd. The pool is nice, but it was dirty. We left after 3/6 nights we just didn't enjoy it at all.

Location: You can't walk into a nearby town, as soon as you step out of the resort the local people in the area are very unfriendly, it was unlike anywhere else I had been in Sri Lanka. Arugam bay is a 10-15 minute tuktuk ride away, which is fine, but I would 100% avoid coming here in the off-season as 90% of the town was closed.

Food: The food in the restaurant is so underwhelming. It's mainly western food done badly. Such a lack of flavour and so overpriced. We had the traditional Sri Lankan curries one night, which tasted lovely, but it was beyond spicy that we couldn't eat them (and we all love spice!!). The breakfast was trying to be western but wasn't quite right. I would rather just have egg & dal hoppers and fresh fruit. There wasn't any poolside food/drink service either, which was unusual.

Atmosphere: There was no music in the restaurant or around the pool, which made it dead quiet and so boring! Having a live singer or a band every other night would do wonders. There was no reason to stay at the restaurant after eating because there was no atmosphere. We went out and ate at a local restaurant one night, which was a 1/3 of the price but 1000x more enjoyable.

Staff: Staff were nice, but there wasn't much socialisation or connection to the staff that we had anywhere else. Service and food was extremely slow too.

- Personnel très serviable et accommodant. Pawan nous a servi à tous les dîners et petits déjeuners. Extrêmement gentil et serviable. Il s’est levé 2 jours de suite pour nous donner un petit déjeuner à emporter à 5h du matin.

- Globalement assez cher. Rapport qualité prix moyen

Paradise away from the Aguram Bay main strip… with an almost private surf break.
Pros:

Villa was lovely.
Coconuts surf break out the front was a very fun wave. And quiet!!!
Had to drive/tuk tuk to Main Street if wanting to eat out of the property, but an easy tuk tuk ride.
Staff were very nice.

Good hotel for the area but isn’t in town and doesn’t quite have the vibe you think it does in the pics
Pros:

The set up and the lay out of the report and amazing staff including Jahan on the front desk who will do anything to help

Wunderbarer Platz für ruhesuchende Genießer.
Pros:

Sehr freundliches Personal, sind immer auf unsere Extrawünsche eingegangen ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Wir hatten eine wirklich schöne Cabana mit herrlichem Ausblick. Trotz off-season wurden alle Leistungen angeboten. Die Eco Bauweise des gesamten Komplexes ist phänomenal.
