Book at your risk - cancelled on us without warning in peak season.
Pros:

We had reserved a room over New Years, booked 6 months in advance. 4 days before our arrival (on Christmas Eve) we received a text message from Isabella Resort that they were cancelling our reservation as they were overbooked. They gave us no other explanation, or assistance in finding alternate accommodation.

Pros:

The photos for this place must be from the day it opened. Please do not be fooled by the photos.
Pool was dirty and unaccessible more than half of the time we were there.(2 weeks)
The rooms were dirty, Never cleaned the rooms unless we chased down the hosekeeper.
Our entire room ceiling was covered with spider webs with at least 20 spiders hanging on it at any given time.
We had to clean our room ourselves while we stayed there.
Food was kept out un the heat all day long, they cook peoples breakfast the day before.
Overall, it was the worst place we have ever stayed at.
They do not know the first thing about customer service.
Please save your time and money and go someplace else.

Pros:

This resort is under new management. The owners and staff are very nice and helpful. We were allowed to check in early, and the resort taxi is cheaper than Grab. The breakfast is basic but good. The resort is walkable to the beach, but the walk to the main street is a bit far. However, there are many restaurants in the alleyways along the way to the main street.

This resort has potential to be restored to a nicer condition. The grounds are beautiful and well-kept with mature trees, but the buildings and equipment (e.g., bicycles) have aged and do not match the pictures listed online. The rooms need a lot of maintenance, especially in the bathrooms, which could use a thorough cleaning due to the presence of many insects and algae growth. The shower window is exposed to greenery and lacks a shower curtain.

The Wi-Fi is very spotty and unreliable in the guest rooms, with good signals only at the bar and dining area close to the entrance.

A little bit of paradise.
Pros:

My husband and I stayed here for 14days half board. Breakfast was good, dinner was not. Food took to long even when there were few guests. Often boring food with little taste.. A lot of room for improvement. Breakfast was good, but the coffee was often lukewarm. Very friendly staff, Tham, Hai and his friend whose name I have forgotten provided excellent service always with a smile. The pool was well kept, nice and clean. They room was good with a few bugs, but it was taken care of. A pity the hotel does not have sunbeds at the beach, they were too expensive to rent, from 200000 dong and upwards. No wonder nobody used them. Can someone tell thosepeople not to be so greedy.

Excellent place for friends, families with little kids, elderly, couples
Pros:

Clean. Comfortable. Quite from roads or constructions. You’d only hear crickets at night. Not many but there will be some bugs inside room. Big enough pool to enjoy for adults and children. Strong water flow. They also provide postal service. Fast wifi. You can exchange money from USD to VND (but they only accept new money. No crinkled or folded)

It takes only few minutes to the beach where you can enjoy the sunset and swimming. You can use bicycle or motor bike for free if you want to go little further. Big markets are all nearby.

Best of all was the breakfast buffet. Would like to praise the chef! There are noodle soup and omelet everyday, but everything else will change day by day. We enjoyed every single menu every time.

The room looked like a studio set. There are many pictures of cricket? on the floor of bathroom, which was both a bit scary and funny at the same time.

I wouldn’t say the bed, air conditioner, or TV are in excellent state, but that didn’t bother us much.

The weather was warm~hot with cool breeze time to time.

Pros:

A wonderful hotel in a good location
Pros:

I mostly post reviews for places I like. So what was god about Isabella Resort?

The hotel itself looks nice, with little houses scattered around like a small village. The environment is cozy with a lot of green plants and not so many buildings in sight. And the pool is fairly large for a hotel of this size. Wifi is fast and stabile. Bed is firm and comfortable.

The location is very good if you can tolerate not being directly on the beach which is 1-2 minutes away. Going in the opposite direction will take you to the Ong Lang village which was very useful to us. The area is up-comming and there are several really remarkable restaurants already. This had a very positive influence on our vacation overall.

Then there is staff. I rarely experienced a team being more devoted to making your stay a joy. From restaurant to reception, spa and cleaning. For high end resorts it is common that some of the staffs personality disappears under the uniform, but here they are very much individuals which you get to know soon enough because the hotel is rather small.

Everything considered, this was memorable stay and great value for money.

Noisy rooms
Pros:

Stayed 4 nights with 2 adults and 2 children. Rooms are small, beds very hard. I did not sleep well the entire stay. Rooms are noisy, you hear your neighbors (next to you as well as below or above). So that surely influences my review. Slamming doors and screening children. At times, we even could hear their toilet practices...
During day time an excellent and quiet place to relax at the nice pool. Busy beach only 3min walk. Enough nice restaurants close by.
Russian tour operators put their clients here, so they dominate and make it their village.
Breakfast is ok, but no serious healthy options.

Great place to escape
Pros:

Wonderful property, very close to the beach with professional and attentive staff. Musical elements (such as guitar pool) and saxes on the walls give this resort such a cool vibe. Management is dedicated and will make sure that you have the best time here. Hope to come back soon. AAA+++

Great place to stay, two minutes to beach and lots of places nearby to eat and drink.
Pros:

We had a premier double room and it was a very good size and had a nice little veranda with seats and fan. The shower room was very big and, all in all, the room was great.
The staff were excellent, especially Ulyana who seemed to always be at hand to solve any issues and generally check everything was running smoothly.
Its a good location, two minutes walk to the left out of the resort and you are at a nice little beach, where you can buy a beer or a fruit juice and watch the sunset. a few minutes to the right and there are several restaurants and bars, this is a good little spot on what is a very fast developing Phu Quoc!
Forgot to say, the pool is great too and also the egg guy at breakfast!

Beautiful place to stay
Pros:

We recently spent 5 days here at this lovely resort. Rooms were spotless and the restaurant staff were attentive and responsive. Breakfasts were great with fresh rolls, the usual egg options, fruit and pancakes amongst the options. They have a good drinks menu, fantastic smoothies with lovely fresh fruit and good snack options.
The one small complaint was that the actual meals were not that great. One night they were missing many items from the menu, despite having quite a few guests. We ate at a few places locally and they were all similar. The one amazing place was a creperie just outside the resort which was yummy.
Isabella grounds were stunning and perfectly safe for kids to run around. The pool was impressive! WiFi strong all over. The beach was 2 minute walk and really lovely, too.
The Russian manager was brilliant.
I'd recommend it to anyone, and I hope to be back one day soon.

4 days of Bliss
Pros:

From the onset contact with Alexander the manager has been outstanding. I requested a little suprise in the room to make it romantic as it was a surprise for my fiancè. Thank you Alexander for making our stay sensational and always checking in to see that we are enjoying everything.

Not only was it possible luckily to check in earlier but the room looked splendid.

The check in process was fantastic with a huge thanks to Nguyêt who orgainsed some much needed ice cold refreshments and early check in. She is a star and genuinely loves providing stellar servie.

Housekeepers were fantatic as well. Our room was cleaned when we got back from breakfast daily. I think this is because we would have breakfast pretty earlier before most other guests woke up. All our stuff was left where we stacked it and the floors and surfaces were cleaned around it which is great as i am not a fan of having my things moved. They also were polite and greeted us throughout the day.

Restaurant for breakfast was very good. Loved the bacon on the buffest and the egg station. The lady who runs breakfast is cheerful and always has a warm good morning greeting for you when you arrive as well as ensuring everything is ok. I would only suggest possibly adding rice in the salt shakers so that the salt doesn't stick together and maybe have the egg menu with the Vietnamese name next to the English one. That will help the breakfast chef out with the orders.

Lastly I wanted to thank Ullyana who is very new at the hotel but is already proving that she has great customer service experience. I would ask her questions and if she did not know the answer then she would find out for me. Always smiling and ready to help she is also an asset to the Hotel.

NB: I do need to point out that the hotel opposite Isabella Hotel has been burning their rubbish for the last 3 days which is shocking. I believe its the "5 star Eco Mango Hotel" doing this. Unfortunately there is nothing management at Isabella Hotel can do but this should be over soon. I suggest to all recent travellers to leave reviews about Mango's horrible practice ehich affest all guests in this area.

Excellent hotel, beautiful location and friendly staff
Pros:

We stayed here for a week and we had the best time. The hotel was amazing. The breakfast was superb, the pool and surrounding areas were clean and well kept.
Our room had a garden view and it was beautiful. If I visit phu Quoc I would definitely stay here again as the hotel is right near the beach and in the best part of phu Quoc as it has lots of little bars and restaurants around it. The price of the hotel is also very good compared to some of the hotels near the night market and not nearly as good. The area the hotel is situated is by far the nicest. Didn’t like the centre / night market areas but loved the relaxing feel of this hotel and area.

Lovely hotel near the Ong Lang Beach, Phu Quoc
Pros:

Beautiful hotel area with a beautiful huge pool and a nice garden; the rooms are simple but stylish; the air conditioning was extremly quiet. The nicely decorated bathroom is very large, with rain shower and everything you need to take your bath.
The hotel staff is very helpful and Alexander, the hotel manager, helps with all kinds of problems.
We booked scooters over the hotel, they were brought there and picked up again. Little stress for a small extra money. The hotel organized for 7 (including 5 children) of our group a cooking class on an eco farm, which was a real highlight.
The nearby beach (about 150m) was very clean, with bars and restaurants where people enjoy happy hours. The adults of our group had a great time on the beach, the children loved to have fun in the large hotel pool.
Issabella Resort is a great place in Phu Quoc and I can highly recommend to stay there.
