Most definitely the best hotel I’ve stayed at during the Isle of Wight festival… stunning location with a sea view that just sublime, beautiful large air conditioned room, wonderful staff who take the time to know your preferences and most importantly your names! We will most definitely return during the summer break and again for 2027 festival. Thank you David for creating a wonderful hotel, we can’t wait to return to see you, thank you! Wonderful hotel with an amazing location overlooking the ocean. The hotel is immaculate with the highest quality of interior finishes and beautifully landscaped Gardens. Ideal base for exploring the island.
Lovely Hotel with excellent views and garden. The staff were exceptional friendly and helpful, as indeed were the owners. You just have to try the delicious Banana bread which the owner bakes herself. This particular time she included Wallnuts in the recipe and suggested I should try it toasted with cream Cheese. Not something I have ever considered but it was really delicious, but it also works with butter.
We recently spent three wonderful nights at Haven Hall. Upon our arrival we were personally greeted by proprietor David Barratt who stated “Welcome to Haven Hall, my home.” He gave us a tour of the house and the magnificent grounds that overlook the Channel. David, and his lovely wife, Arielle, live in the house, manage everything, and are accessible 24/7 for what ever question or need that may arise. Their attention to detail is superb, which is evident everywhere you look. They are engaging to chat with should you so desire and have good suggestions on what to do and where to eat. Breakfast was wonderful out on the terrace overlooking the Channel. Their staff couldn’t do enough for us. They have an electric charging station which was a nice touch. The pool area, which we enjoyed, is secluded and inviting. The water is heated. There are changing rooms and a sauna. A grass tennis court. I highly recommend Haven Hall and look forward to a return.
There’s nothing that we didn’t like about the property.
We stayed at Haven Hall for our 25th anniversary. The owner was a wonderful host and the property is beautiful and luxurious. If you are looking for peace, quiet and beauty, Haven Hall is a must. The staff were excellent and attentive, the rooms comfortable and well appointed and the views breathtaking. It location view of over the water and the cliffs is breathtaking. My family enjoyed the grass tennis court and the morning breakfasts. I look forward to coming again.
Haven Hall is stunningly beautiful and feels like home. The hospitality of the hosts and owners is unmatched. We stayed in the Penthouse (rooms 6 and 7) and enjoyed being able to get food from the co-op and then eat using the kitchen. We had fun playing tennis on the grass courts. The #3 bus stops at the end of the street, so easy for us to get around without a car. The included breakfast had many options, even for vegan and gluten free. We definitely plan to come back. Gorgeous views of the English Channel and cliffs.

David and Arielle were both so welcoming and they personally made certain that our stay and experience was the best it could be.

Absolutely beautiful hotel. David and Arielle have created a beautiful, secluded, home away from home. We would take this over a 5 star chain hotel any day. The price is completely within reason. With fantastic service, beautiful grounds and lovely clean rooms. The helipad is just the right size with an amazing approach over the cliffs of Shanklin. Will definitely be returning.
It was great staying in Haven Hall. The location is very beautiful and the services couldn't be better. We enjoyed the spaces, equipment and privacy of the Geranium Suite we stayed in. Our compliments and thanks to the hotel owners and staff!

What an incredible luxury getaway we all had at Haven Hall. Every. Single. Detail has been thought of - it's all the little things that are just there when you want them. Especially noteworthy is the thoroughly equipped kitchen, as we ended up cooking quite a few meals ourselves.
The location is fantastic - easy walking to both Shanklin and Sandown, and we enjoyed fabulous coastal circuit walks every morning.
The grounds are immaculate and beautiful. The team including the gardeners are very friendly and David the owner is a very knowledgeable gentleman who was always there if we needed anything.
Highly recommend.

Truly wonderful experience- it’s very rare to find a location that has everything and lacks nothing. The rooms , the views , the ambience are truly special and with owners as your interested hosts you are made to feel part of a family . Just go ……
