Bario Hotel

Great service...lots of music and folks at the bar and restaurant at nights....(a hot spot).

This review is truly a mixed bag, so let's start with the positives.

Pros:
The location is perfect. Close to restaurants, bars, the Queens Bridge, Rif Fort and so much more.

The staff was helpful and friendly.

There is a bar and restaurant on the grounds, so that option was great.

We stayed in the deluxe apartment which allowed for plenty of space, but also presents a few challenges.

Negatives:
You will need to pay close attention to the amount of electricity used daily. You are asked to turn the AC off when you leave your unit which is tough because it was extremely hot. At one point we had no electricity during the dead of night because we exceeded the allotted electricity for our stay. Who knew?!
There was no emergency number to call so we suffered a bit.

If you select the deluxe apartment, there are steep stairs and the bathroom is downstairs, so if you are not able body, this particular unit may not be for you.

Our bed was pretty bad. Very thin and the wooden frame is rather noisy. Not really comfortable at all.

This did not bother us much, but worth noting, the Saturday night event is extremely loud. The band played until around midnight or so.

All and all, great experience! My negatives were to highlight things for future occupants as I would still recommend this hotel.

Ok so far. Easy check in

Staff was very friendly. The hotel had a positive vibe which made our stay a very enjoyable experience!

Property is centrally located with easy walking access to restaurants and sites of interest. Also very easy to access main roads to drive to places of interest like beaches, diving and restaurants away from downtown Willemstad
Staff friendly and attentive. Just a little TLC with ac filters and vents. I would suggest based on the room I was given ( which I enjoyed having the kitchenette) a mop to be able to maintain floor cleaner between housekeeping. Also liked the convenience of their restaurant facility, enjoyed the breakfast.
No doubt i would stay here again. Looking forward to my next visit

This was a fabulous place! My twin and I were staying here for the week and we hit gold with this place. Could not have asked for a better room or service! We were worried about being located right near the restaurant but it was not an issue and very quiet. The cleaning, cooking, and administrative staff were all attentive and pleasurable to work with. If we ever come back to 🇨🇼, we are staying here! It is locally owned and gives back to the economy unlike some other resorts/hotels in curacao. Stay here if you want to stay close to downtown. This side of the bridge is the best place to be :)

The Bario's location is excellent, very accessible to the town and lots of eateries. The restaurant serves delicious food. Bario is clean and comfortable, and Stephanie, the manager, was amazing! She was very helpful and courteous. Bario is an excellent value in terms of price, location, cleanliness, service quality and food.

Nice local atmosphere. The manager is very nice.
Just to be aware: chek in is only at 1600, much later than regular, and they offer the guests to have the room earlier for extra charge - which looks to me quite strange.

Such a beautiful property in the heart of Willemstad! Am definitely going back.

Great place great location

I stayed in B14. I had to listen to the crazy loud neighbor 4 out of the 5 nights I stayed.

This was a gem in the Otraband area..walkable to the "bridge" and area on other side of the bridge, restaurants, RIF fort..Starbucks etc. Absobutely Charming...owner is taking one of the historic buildings and turning it into a 23 room hotel..restaurant and bar, pool, AC, .note if you need a downstairs room as this has a historic set of stairs too! Is on all tours!!!

Très bel hôtel proche du centre de Willemstad. Superbe décoration artistique. Le seul commentaire est bruyant si vous restez près de la cuisine et salle à manger. Piscine rafraîchissante.

Our room was not in the main part of the hotel which was ok as it was quiet, had access to a back patio area and was not far from the main hotel. Rooms are in historic buildings so expect that they are not in 'pristine' condition as old buildings like old homes require constant maintenance.
The staff were very pleasant and helpful. We would recommend the hotel as it was very easy walking to Punda, to the bus stations, restaurants, and to many attractions. We enjoyed the small pool as a way to cool off and relax after a day of walking and sightseeing.

Vse ok

We stayed in January 2025. Stay was enjoyable; clean room, friendly and responsive staff. They have a restaurant and the food is very good. Located close to everything and lots of room for parking. We recommend this hotel if you are looking for something local and convenient.

Property location was good, within walking distance of downtown area.

We very much enjoyed our stay. Staff was helpful and friendly, grounds were well kept and very colorful. Restaurant on property had beautiful decor, be mindful they close late sometimes so it may be louder during busier hours but that was definitely not an issue for us. Parking was convenient and
Room was clean. Will gladly stay again during future travels.
