Cons:

Bed was small and not firm. Carpet was stained and there was only one bedside table and lamp. Key pad to pay was exposed for all to see. Check in staff did not know if paying by debit card reduced the high card fee.

Cons:

First room had extremely bad smell, had to change room. Staff were very understanding and supported us with a room change. We stay regularly at hotel and enjoy our stay. Having the restaurant and bar is a fantastic.

Convenience to the airport was the only real positive

The close location of the accommodation to the airport

Cons:

The moment I walked in, I commenced sneezing. Hayfever quickly developed. Was it dust, carpet, chemical smell? Not sure. Rooms lacked character. Where was a painting or print to promote beautiful Queensland?
One staff member was a little abrupt when we went to go through wrong for. It's not like we had ever been there before.

We booked and paid for a double room. When we arrived, the concierge attempted to persuade us to take a queen room as a double would take time to check and make sure it was all good (we checked in post mid-night). You’d assume the amount of emails and messages on WhatsApp asking for pre check- in, that the room would be ready and allocated for us. Lost points for barely warm breakfast buffet. Have stayed there before with the same experience. Could do better.
