WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE, SCAM, RUN AWAY

One of the worst and most unpleasant hotel experiences I have ever had.

The room we were given as a “standard room” was nothing like what the photos on Booking suggest. The photos show a beautiful property with a pool and access to the sea, but the standard rooms are located in a completely different area, directly in front of sewage pipes/drainage. There was an absolutely horrible sewage smell right outside our room, so strong that I spent most of the night feeling nauseous and gagging.

We immediately reported the smell to reception. Instead of offering a reasonable solution, we were told that they had a better room available for 6,000 THB per night and that we could move there if we paid the additional amount. I strongly objected, as the problem was clearly not caused by us and I did not think we should have to pay extra to get a room without a sewage smell. Only a few minutes later, we were suddenly told that there were no rooms available anymore. We were then told that we could move to another “standard room” the following day.

The next day, the new room was essentially in the same area, directly in front of the same sewage/drainage system, with the same terrible smell.

The attitude of the reception staff throughout this situation was also extremely unfriendly and unhelpful. We were treated as if the problem was somehow our responsibility, and the responses we received were basically “this is not my problem” rather than any attempt to help.

The bathroom was another major issue. The water pressure in the shower was so weak that taking a normal shower was practically impossible. I spent around 30 minutes just to take a normal quick shower. The bathroom itself was extremely old and poorly maintained. There is no proper separation between the toilet and shower area, so when you shower, the entire bathroom gets completely wet. This is not properly shown in the photos on Booking.
