Property is unique with style but also very clean and comfortable. Beds are comfy with silky soft cotton sheets- yummy!
Nothing.
The bed was the most comfortable bed I think I have ever slept in! The manager was stellar! The location was perfect!
Our particular room had some noise from the kitchen exhaust fan at midnight. We would have happily moved to another room, but there were none available! The manager did exactly what you would expect from a well run establishment rated 5 stars! Breakfast cinnamon muffin was to die for! Restaurant had some unique great tasting food.
My husband and I stayed for 2 nights in August for along anniversary getaway to enjoy nature in the UP. Our king room was clean and comfortable; plus, getting to be on site to eat two straight nights at Tracey's was literally a treat. It's on a quieter end of town, which we enjoyed, but you are not right in the heart of town, although everything you'd want to get to in town is probably a 15 minute walk or a 2 minute drive. Our room did not have a desk, but we specifically were not working. And no microwave, but we were not looking for that either. We had a small frig and a nice bathroom with good shower amenities and space. We were very happy with our stay, and we travel a LOT. Do yourself a favor and book here, and eat at Tracey's--we will be dreaming of their chowder, cocktails, and chocolate cake for a long time.
Breakfast was good but not properly attended to on Saturday morning. Some items ran out at 8:30
To much Nursing Home feel.
Room no view or outside light
Tiny bathroom
No outside seating
No wallkable shore access
Mattress sag on sides
We had a nice 4 nights at the Roam Inn in Munising. The room was nice sized and nicely equipped. Good location with the city center walkable. We had a balcony room on the second floor that was immediately above the restaurant, and so noisy on Saturday night-if going again, I would try for one of the rooms in the back as the balcony view was limited somewhat by the high school across the street. The staff was nice and helpful. Having the restaurant on site was a plus.
For the amount of money you pay, its a nice place, but when you want to shower and relax after a long day...no tv..are u kidding me..1124 dollars for three days..and they cant provide a tv service...oh they are working on it.. WE GOT A SHRUG..
Really comfortable stay. I would have rated it 5 stars but unfortunately we were in room 3. There was nothing in the online description that would have indicated the location and I wouldn’t have selected it if I knew it was by the main entrance. The main entrance slams every time some one goes in or out. There is no mechanism on the door to keep it from slamming nor does it have a sign up suggesting people shut it gently. It was really loud and annoying, which is the only reason I docked them a star.
Breakfast was great. The room was exceptionally clean. The bed was the most comfortable that we’ve ever slept in on a trip. The town of Munising was charming.
This was easily the nicest hotel in Munising. It was a lovely suite that was was quiet and secluded. It seemed that services had been cut back since COVID, but they had found clever ways to take care of us. They only had part time desk coverage, but full time phone availability for assistance. They had a special room with ice and ice buckets and another with a microwave, tables, and tableware which were always available. They provided breakfast and cleaned our room which is a rarity these day. The location was incredible.
Awesome location but that’s the best thing about this place. Room not cleaned during our stay and breakfast was definitely on the light side. Yogurt not provided either days due to the truck not arriving for restocking. Seems strange since there is a restaurant on site. Coffee ran out and no attendant there to make more. Amenities such as shampoo, body wash, etc. not replenished either. Asked the front desk and eventually asked the hostess in the restaurant to help us out.
Sign at front desk said away from the desk and number to call for assistance. This was true when we checked in, in the morning, and in the afternoon. Did respond to our calls but a bit frustrating.
The restaurant is hopping each evening so this seems to be where the emphasis and not in the hotel side. Pop
First time to Munising and stayed here based on the reviews. So glad I did! The staff here were friendly and helpful. Good communications sent prior to arrival. My room was a 2 room suite with a King bed and a large sitting area. The bath linens and bedding were outstanding!!!! Fluffy and soft and absorbent. (I just hate staying in a hotel room with washed out limp & stained linens.) The room has an oversized dorm room type fridge that works very well. Good Wi-Fi and TV that has loads of channel options.
An excellent continental breakfast is served in a very relaxing "common room". High quality muffins, mixed berries, excellent quality breads, yogurt, boiled eggs, oatmeal, cereal, juice, 2% cow & Almond milk.
The on site restaurant was visually attractive with chef inspired quality foods. We spent two nights here and ate both nights, which is unusual for us when traveling. It's just a testament to how good it was! Big thumbs up to bartender NJ. She is the ideal bartender! Friendly and helpful and knows how to make a quality crafted cocktail. Engaging, but not obtrusive. She offered lots of excellent ideas for our stay and is a wonderful ambassador for the hotel and Munising.
If I ever return to the area I would consider no other hotel.
One suggestion for the owners: Consider placing a few shelves in the bathroom near the sink to hold personal items. (It was a little tough to find places to put things and I had to just leave most of my stuff in my suitcase.)
The Roam Inn is a cute, unique, boutique hotel. The staff was extremely helpful and cheerful.
Adorable, BnB vibes, with modern amenities! White noise machine in the room was an amazing touch! Bed was so comfortable! Huge bathroom, extra throw blanket was a nice touch! Adorable!
Roam Inn is one of the best, if not the best, hotels we have ever had the pleasure of staying in for 40 years. Courteous and knowledgeable staff, impeccably clean room, very comfortable bed with divine bedding and a simple tasty breakfast.
My husband has a tricky back and frequently wakes every few hours each night, but got the best sleep in this bed - a solid 5 hours straight before waking.
We highly recommend Roam Inn! When we are back in the area we will stay here.
We stayed in room 16, lumber baron room. Enjoyed the comfortable sitting area and large screen tv.
Breakfast was a very nice continental.
Nightlight needed in the bathroom. A TV tray or a small table near the sink area to hold toiletry items. Another small table was needed in the room to place items.
