I post maybe one review a year. I do so only when one of two things happens. 1) A business pisses me off so bad that I need to vent to recover from gross incompetence. Or 2) a business far exceeds my expectations.
#2 applies with the Roam Inn. I had seen several recommendations on the Upper Peninsula Travel Facebook page and we wanted to spend one night in Munising on our tour of the U.P., so I decided to book a night.
Everything was to my expectations except for two things that exceeded expectations. First, the room was meticulously clean, as if a deep clean and detailing had been done to the 2 rooms and bathroom in the suite. Second, my old body rarely gets a good night’s sleep away from my luxurious bed at home. I expect to wake up with some stiffness when sleeping elsewhere. When I got in bed, my back was still sore from the previous night in a different hotel. But when I woke up the next morning, no soreness!
The Roam Inn will be our go-to lodging in the area and I’ll highly recommend it to everyone.
Inside the Roam Inn was beautiful and the rooms were very nice and clean
The picture on-line didn't match what I was looking at when I drove up. Was very skeptical about what I had gotten myself into. But when I entered and got heading to the room, I felt more at ease.
My husband and I were very comfortable in our king suite. It was so nice to be able to relax after our busy days in the living room, and to able to close the doors to the bedroom to allow naps for the tired spouse!
The bedding was amazing - I want to buy it for my home! The Pictured Rocks canvases on the walls in the rooms and hallways were stunning. It truly makes us want to explore the area in more depth to go see where they were taken.
I am betting that when Tracey's restaurant is open, it is a real plus to the hotel.
Was a very nice room. Very quiet and right in town
The bar wasnt open. Off season
Finally got an opportunity to stay at Roam Inn and it was great. Will be back on my next trip thru Munising for sure.
It was personable, clean, provided with fresh water bottles and amenities. Location was very interesting and fun to explore
Nothing bad to say
restaurant not open
The breakfast was nice.
I wished Tracys was open of course.
Excellent 5 stars. You never know what your going to get in a hotel when you are in the Upper Peninsula, this exceeded my expectations. It was clean room, well stocked, comfy pillows, even the pull out couch bed was comfortable (for a pull out couch bed lol). The location was perfect for getting around Munising easily and the parking lot was well plowed (for as much snow as they have to deal with).
We stayed with them during their winter "innkeeper mode" with more limited staff and despite that, everything was amazing. The accommodations were wonderful and spotless, the hotel itself was adorable and unique and the staff friendly and helpful. Will be back again!
My husband and I stayed here during a recent stay in Munising. This place is amazing. Cozy rooms, beautiful decor and unique place. They were in winter mode where we had an automatic check-in but we loved our room and would love to return when the restaurant is in full swing.
Location very easy to find, king bed was one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in
Disappointed overall.
Liked the Old Roam Inn we stayed at 2 years ago. The room was better.
The NEW breakfast does not compare to what was offered the last visit.
Your current breakfast is offered at ever economy hotel.
Room staff had to be tracked down to complete cleaning up our room.
We did enjoy Tracey’s for dinner. Their employees were superior in every way. Enthusiastic, fun
