airbnb at luxury hotel price
Pros:

excellent location and cute houses. big rooms

Cons:

this is called ”boutique hotel”, which apparently is dutch for ”airbnb at luxury hotel price”, since it’s not a hotel, neither on a larger level (there’s no staff and only a handfull rooms spread over two town houses), nor at the smaller level (no toiletries, no bathroom mat). still the price is higher than most hotels.

it’s not accessible for someone with any type of mobility issues or elderly persons since both houses have very steep and narrow staircases

Heerlijk verblijf in hartje Leiden.
Pros:

Tweepersoonskamer: Perfecte locatie, mooie rustige kamer aan de achterzijde. Zeer groot comfortabel bed met heerlijk katoenen dekbed. Water en koffie/thee aanwezig. Goede informatie vooraf over check in en parkeren.

Cons:

Kussens waren wat slap en voor dit geld zou het fijn zijn als je een keuze hebt. Badkamer had wat schimmel plekken.

Charme et confort
Pros:

L'emplacement est idéal pour visiter Leiden, dans une charmante maison située dans une rue pavée très romantique le soir, surtout attablés dehors au restaurant de fruits de mer d'en face (Bistro Maris), qui a aussi une terrasse sur la place de l'église.
La chambre est grande, bien équipée et d'époque avec sa cheminée.
Petit déjeuner simple, mais correct dans la jolie salle du rez-de-chaussée. Personnel jeune et serviable.

Cons:

Rien qui ne concerne l'hôtel. Le vrai problème est la distance entre l'hôtel et le parking le plus proche (le Parking Leiden Centrum, 8 Haaweg) très grand et cher. Il y a une navette gratuite qui amène prés de l'église Pieterskerk, mais qui ne marche que dans un sens à notre connaissance.

Hervorragende Lage im Zentrum unmittelbarer Nähe der Grachten, süsses kleines Stadthaus, gemütliches und geräumiges Zimmer

Cons:

Das Frühstück - lecker aber nur ein Bagel mit Marmelade oder eine Scheibe Brot mit Rührei für 15,00 Euro, Kaffee und Tee wurden extra berechnet, mega steile und enge Wendeltreppe - kein Koffer möglich nur Reisetasche, Parken ausserhalb der Stadt allerdings kostenfrei mit Park and Ride Service, durch die Lage direkt in der Stadt bis nachts um 2 Uhr strasenlärm, für junge Leute die etwas Nachts etwas erleben möchten und fit sind (Treppe) sehr gut geeignet

Very cosy room in a traditional Dutch house, so the stairs are typically steep, narrow and winding. This is part of the character of the building, but it may be worth bearing in mind if you have mobility issues or large luggage

Cons:

A mosquito screen on the window would help.

Pros:

Top Lage! Super sauber! Wunderbar, mal in einem typischen Altstadthaus zu schlafen! Kleine , sehr steile und schmale Treppe macht den Transport des Gepäcks etwas schwierig aber das ist halt so in den alten kleinen Häusern.Ichwäre gern noch länger geblieben!

Pros:

Locatie zeer goed, vriendelijke beheerder. Kamer was in nette staat. In de straat van het hotel zitten een aantal leuke restaurants en cafés.

Cons:

Er viel niets tegen, aandachtspunt zijn de trappartijen, deze zijn stijl.

Pros:

De ligging van het hotel was prima, ongeveer 15 minuten lopen vanaf het station en vanaf het hotel was het ± 7 minuten lopen naar centrum. Ook de bedden waren goed.

Cons:

Wat enigszins tegenviel was het ontbijt. Dat was a-la-carte en stevig aan de prijs. Het ventilatierooster in de doucheruimte was redelijk stoffig. Wij verbleven op de 2e verdieping en de trap van de 1e verdieping naar de 2e verdieping was erg smal en zat een vreemde draai in zodat als je met bagage loopt goed moest uitkijken.

on the whole ,a lovely place to stay in for a weekend,
Pros:

breakfast was great, the hotel itself situated in a pittoresque little road was absolutely charming

Cons:

an almost slippery ground in the bathroom , because the water in the shower spread over the whole ground, the peg for towels was loose and couldn't be used
