Excellent location and view. It was warm and comfortable. Always lovely to come back to after a day on the slopes.
The kitchen was our only gripe. Very nice space but the practical facilities were way below standard. Very little cutlery (no knives at all - we had to ask for some to be provided), very few glasses, all mismatched. Too few pans, (no frying pan) and not enough utensils. No extra bin bags to deal with our rubbish as per very strict instructions, and a dirty oven. Empty salt and pepper grinders, which they filled for us when we asked. No staff on site. We saw the friendly cleaners, that’s it. Given management sends you a stern ‘if you leave the place dirty, we’ll charge you’ email before you arrive, the fact that we were met with an oven grill caked in layers of grease from previous guests was surprising. We waited for 3 days for it to be cleaned (we had no scouring pads, or I would’ve done it myself!). All in all, it was a 6/10 reception, but they addressed all the little issues when we asked, sometime quickly, sometimes slowly. Just wish we didn’t have to ask. And ask. And ask. Just fill the cutlery draw guys, get more glasses and a frying pan, give your guests more dishwasher tablets and ways to keep the place clean. It’s pretty simple.
Kira Kira is located downhill of the Hirafu Welcome Centre. Transportation is provided during arrival and departure to and from the Welcome Centre. I am not too sure if the transportation can be arranged during they stay as I did not try this.
The room was spacious and well suited my needs. It was comfortable.
However, the water pressure and termperature for the shower can be much improved. The temperature was not enough to have a good soak in the tub.
There was a combi washer dryer with detergent in the room too, and it was useful to have some laundry done. The wifi was stable a the room came with apple TV.
The ski locker was minimal with just a slot for board/skis with a lock. The drying locker did not seem to have a lock which I could use.
Communications was easy with the inroom phone. Emails could be better improved too.
For the price paid, I would have expected a better shower experience, thus the 4 stars. I may stay here again.

The apartment was very comfortable, modern, well appointed and had all the amenities needed. Great views too

They claim to offer a free shuttle, but when we got there we found out that it has to be booked in advance and some of the times we were offered were around 12, way too late to go skiing. According to one staff member, H2 Life manages more than 100 properties, but has only 6 vans. In comparison, one building nearby had at least 3 dedicated vans for that building.
The walk is 15 to 20 minutes uphill depending on which lift you are going to.
Our king bed was two mattresses put together, which would have been fine except that one sloped to the side and was inches lower than the one next to it.
We loved staying at Kira Kira Suites- the location was perfect for food options and access to the slopes. The staff were all really helpful and the studio apartment itself is modern and comfortable. Will definitely book with H2 Life again.
