Beautiful gardens and surroundings, staff friendly and attentive.
No fridge in room, no a/c bathroom could have done with more towels / flannel. plug in bath didn't fit, door didn't lock

A lovely hotel, set in a wonderful tranquil spot just outside Brockenhurst. So nice to wake up and see the New Forest ponies roaming right outside the hotel! Beautiful gardens with lots of outside seating and plenty of car parking space. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel, everything was superb. The bedroom was newly renovated and had some really nice touches (including Nespresso coffee machine, DAB radio, Dyson hairdryer) and a huge bathroom. All the staff were wonderful, very friendly and always wanted to help. We'll definitely go back.
It's hard to be critical of this hotel. Maybe you could argue that it had limited facilities (no gym, no pool) but the tranquility and the ambiance more than made up for that!

Lack of service when sitting in garden. Staff would collect dirty glasses but not take order for drinks. Had to go to bar and carry drinks back.

The hotel rooms are beautifully well equipped, the location is perfect and the staff are friendly, helpful and work exceptionally hard
The old building fits into the surroundings well, back garden is a lovely place to relax in the shade. Food was of a great quality. Service to the garden outside was non existent though which was disappointing. The family room was extremely hot during the early July heatwave as there is no a/c at this property. I actually think they shouldn’t sell those rooms during the extreme hot days, we literally paid to sleep in a sauna for the night.
No a/c and while this is ok on moderately warm days, when it’s over 30 degrees Celsius and we’re staying in the top rooms it’s quite unbearable.
