It was beautiful to wake up, open the windows and only hear birds singing and see the sun shinning

Overall, a great stay and would definitely book again.
Pros:

Location was excellent, within the New Forest National Park. Complimentary bike hire was an unexpected bonus, although the bikes were old and needed some maintenance. Breakfast and dinner were both good, and service was excellent. Great sized room.

Cons:

There was a lack of space in the bar area if you just wanted a drink, as was set up for dining although the restaurant had plenty of available tables. The bathroom floor, outside edge of shower tray and skirtings (tile tops) could have been cleaner. but didn't deter from the general cleanliness of the room.

Great location have been there for the last four years staff extremely helpful

Cons:

The fact that I booked through booking.com but my money was taken immediately from my account from you even though I booked last July and could cancel 3 days before the booking not sure why you would take money that early seems a lot of greed on your part

OK for one night but would not visit again.
Pros:

Breakfast brilliant.

Cons:

Smell in entrance to hotel that continued in the evening when in the bar.

Bezel to toilet flush button loose and fell into the toilet pan when the toilet was flished this had to be retrieved by hand.

Evening meal did not reflect what was described on the menue. Fresh bread stale. £9 discount given on meal.

Lighting in the room was poorly distributed making reading difficult.

Pros:

Very nice and comfortable place, amazing room we likened the fact that there are two separate beds for our children. I particularly liked the Daison hair drier in the room and the retro style radio. Location is amazing with a trail starting just out of the hotel.

Cons:

All was really good, some improvement can be done to the breakfast variety and pillows

Excellent stay, revisiting the hotel after 51 years!
Pros:

I booked this for my parents, celebrating my mum's 70th. They had a wonderful time. They said the food was exceptional, the facilities and staff were excellent and they couldn't fault anything. They stayed at this hotel about 51 years ago, after their wedding, and going back exceeded their expectations!

Cons:

There was nothing to be complained about, they were very happy during their stay.
