Having visited the hotel three times in recent years, this time some of the furnishings were looking jaded
Tartan stair carpet looked faded and dirty
Has definitely seen better days. Easy chairs in bedroom were uncomfortable as paddingi in seT cushions has worn out.
Lovely grounds had a fantastic couple of days out and about and sitting in the garden
Nothing everything was perfect. The only thing I could say we were told we had air-conditioning in our room and then found we didn’t.
The property location was good for exploring the area.
when we arrived our “superior room” was definitely not superior and nothing like the pictures on there website. we managed to change to a different room after refusing the room we had booked. The “new room” was better but the furniture was “tired looking” and it needed a good dusting and a better clean? There was no room service available for food in the hotel after the dining room was closed and no one around to answer the phone in the evening either. That said even when we booked the hotel no one answered the phone there we tried for 3 days to get through but constantly goes to an answerphone service. The garden area was ok but no one could be bothered to clean the tables and remove the used glasses from outside all day! we had breakfast included but it was very limited and not that good so although we had paid for it we decided not to bother with it on the Sunday. The polish night porter was a very nice guy though and very helpful felt a bit sorry for him as he must get all the “ grief” at night while the staff are hidding away!

Night porter was a star…we arrived very late and quite stressed..he was fast, welcoming and just the ticket!
The location was nice and convenient. Liked the Nespresso machine in the room.
The room was stuffy, the window didn't stay open and the window blinds string was snapped. And the food isn't for me, but it is just my taste.
Location was great, the garden of the hotel was also beautiful. What makes this place stand out though is the staff; they were all so efficient and friendly. Food was lovely.
The only thing we didn’t like was the shower, it was one of those rain ones and ended up wetting the floor quite a bit every time it was used.
