Staff, atmosphere and food brilliant
Room 102 lovely (old part with big bay windows) but too hot at night (radiators were off but must be big heating pipes under floor) so we needed windows open. Windows needed TLC & shower screen leaking a bit.

Excellent bar staff with great cocktail knowledge and friendly. Excellent breakfast lots of choice and served freshly cooked by a very nice polite friendly helpful server.

The hotel itself has a lovely and cosy atmosphere with good amenities should you wish to use them. Great location and easily within walking distance of the village shops and cafes. Great amenities provided in the room, the Dyson hair dryer was a nice touch.
The staff weren’t as friendly as they were during my visit last year. I wasn’t made to feel welcome and this really put a dampener on my experience. The room took in every bit of noise from the hallway and the guests in adjacent rooms- making for an uncomfortable nights sleep.
