Room was very hot and despite having the aircon constantly on low, it never got cool. Room needed some upkeep, especially in the bathroom and shower. Staff seemed uninterested. WiFi was poor and would cut out, which was frustrating when making work calls. Breakfast options limited. Pool full of debris from worksite and upstairs dining area disappointing
Location is great; near the Central Market and a 5 minute walk down Street 136 to the confluence of the Mekong & Tonle Sap rivers.
They need to put fans in the rooms. It smells bad in the hotel.
Vacation to Cambodia.
Sadly I experienced what I am very sure was bed bugs in the fourth floor room, also the staff woke me up each morning dragging what sounded like a metal object around the floor as the 5th floor was the bar and restaurant area where breakfast was served. The pool is not a pool but a condemed large bath with lots of broken tiles leading up to the "pool" area...The shower in both rooms (I swapped to 1st floor after a few days due to the bed bugs) was leaking and took a week to get the handyman to simply tighten the connections.
The hotel is in a very handy area for the bars, central market so that is a plus, the rooms are semi modern and bed was comfy aside from the suspected bed bugs..
Staff are friendly so no issues with them.
The coffee shop seemed to have little buss or energy so I ended up going to Browns coffee shop for breakfast and coffee each morning..The breakfast was not up to much, poor fruit juice and cheap bread for toast..
Sorry guys but there is better out there, this place needs a cash injection to bring it up to a decent standard and a deep clean overall..(I even purchased a litre of bleach).
I then noticed another review with similar issues around noise and suspected bed bugs on the fourth floor so hopefully the hotel will do something to resolve.
But the whole area was dirty the hotel was a haven away from that
This property didn’t meet the reviews or overall rating that it has on most sites. The bathroom was below standard and dirty, the breakfast was a horrible experience and the pool was green. The hotel needs a lot of maintenance. Would not recommend.
It was an ok stay. Would have preferred more lights especially in the bathroom.
Limited but good breakfast options - À la carte and not buffet.
The hotel itself is great, as well as close to many of the attractions. However it could use some touch ups here and there. The cafe in the lobby is very convenient, and the rooftop bar/restaurant is the highlight of this property.
Great place, great location. 5 mins on foot to massive central market 10 mins the other way to the riverside with all the restaurants, bars, entertainments etc you could want.
Good breakfast options - made to order.
One significant complaint - no bedside lights or light controls.
Terrific staff, could not be more helpful.
Would certainly stay there again.
I hate to leave a negative review, but I feel it’s warranted. We were slated to stay three nights, but we checked out early, and only stayed one night.
When we arrived the ceiling in the lobby was leaking onto the bench, not a bucket or something to catch the water- literally right onto the bench, and when I mentioned it to the front desk they were already aware. It’s worth it to note that it wasn’t raining.
One of our rooms had what I think was black mold (though it might not be?) and water damage on the walls, and when the a/c turned on, it blew a foul odor into the room, causing headaches.
In the other room, the sink water supply line in the bathroom leaked all over the floor, the shower drain was clogged enough that the water backed up into the shower and lapped over the edge into the bathroom (nothing worse than standing in “mystery drain water”), we found three cockroaches when they scurried across the nightstand and bed (this is when we packed up and left).
The cleaning cart along with dirty mop water sat in the hall from the time we arrived until the time we left.
The coffee bar and restaurant were closed (which we were grateful for after we found the cockroaches), and the pool looked as though it hasn’t been cleaned in a while.
I’m not sure how safe the neighborhood is, but the woman at the front desk told us to “be careful” when we went out for dinner.
It’s such a shame because it seems like it was once an adorable hotel. Not anymore.
Good staff, clean property
A great little hotel in the entertainment end of Phnom Pehn. Close to many good markets and restaurants, including a Michelin star Hong Kong, Crystal Jade, and fabulous French and local restaurants. You couldn’t visit without going to Khéma Restaurant Pasteur for french, or Oyster House for local seafood. The hotel staff, like all local people had the best hearts and consideration and the best manors. The hotel restaurant and roof bar were concise, but with extensive district views. All food, drinks and cocktails were very high standard. Breakfast had many choices.
My room was just the right amount of big with a comfortable bed. It was very clean and a bit cutely retro. The bathroom was nicely appointed and well stocked, although the entusiasm of the bummie washer was a bit of a shock 1st time round. I'd suggest half volume.
On to an important note for asian countries, security. There is only one way in and out of the hotel constantly scrutinised by the front desk. The in room safe was solid and key only. Very solid. In general I felt quite safe until after early evening. Later it is good to get advice from the staff. Even a few late stumbleins felt pretty unthreatened.
Very good shopping in the area.
Good staff, easy transportation, decent food
Perfectly ok hotel in a good central area. I think there are better options in Phnom Penh for the same price, and this felt more like a stay at a guest house than a boutique hotel.
I lik the location and the friendly staff.
Some small local food stall nearby. Walking distance to central market. Used grab Tuk Tuk to travel around which is very affordable. Front desk staff were very helpful to explain the route for each attractions.
The room looked nice. The bed was comfortable. The AC and hot water worked well. It is a very quiet area and only 10/15 min walk to the big sights.
They kindly gave us an upgrade to a nice big room with a balcony. Breakfast on the rooftop was lovely. Unless we asked, they didn’t make up our room or give us new bottled water. It was in the 90’s so water was important.
The property was good and was close to alot of tourist sites. It was a bit frustrating that they contacted me before the trip saying they could provide airport pick up but when I arrived there was no one to meet me and after trying to call I had to organise my own ride.
