Perfect Location in Takayama: Great for Families
Pros:

We had a wonderful stay in Takayama. The location is perfect, very close to all the main points of interest, making it easy to explore the city on foot.
The room was spacious and beautifully arranged, with great attention to detail. The delicious breakfast and the complimentary sake tasting truly made a difference and added a special touch to our experience. We also really appreciated the welcome drinks in the fridge
For us, as a family of four, this place was an excellent choice : comfortable, convenient, and welcoming. We would definitely come back!

Great for families with young children.
Pros:

We loved everything about this hotel. It was very family friendly with lots of other guests being families with young children. We could hear them running in the rooms upstairs but honestly it was a relief because it meant it didn't matter as much if our littles were being loud. My toddler loved the tent area and kept playing camping. It was also my husband's favourite accommodation of the trip so we would love to stay here again in the future.

Cons:

The only downside (as others had mentioned) is the stairs to the reception. It was less stairs than expected and the staff were very helpful with our bags. We thankfully didn't need the stroller while we stayed there but if you are reliant and don't have a travel or lightweight stroller it could make things tricky.

Confortable y muy cerca de estación y buses
Pros:

La habitación muy grande y cómoda, con una estupenda mesa para tomar algo, escribir,. El desayuno muy rico y bien presentado. Y la comodidad de una lavavador /secadora gratuita.

Las escaleras que hay que subir hasta el segundo piso donde está la recepción

Cons:

Reception is on the second floor and there is no elevator, you need to carry all your luggages upstairs
We need to take off our shoes to enter the room
The toilet and the bathroom was not heated, we were there in March, it was still cold
We have booked a room for 3 persons, it was difficult to get in and out of the bed because of the weird position of the bed
Matrass a bit hard too
