Great location in a really nice town. Good pubs near by and lots to do with it he kids
Hotel didn’t have an alcohol license so couldn’t use the bar. Still doing a lot of refurb so there were things out of place
Tranquil, green town. Clean hotel.
Small room and bathroom, damp and disrepair issues around the hotel spoilt the otherwise pleasant atmosphere
Reception staff were helpful
Room seemed a bit tired. Unfortunately my wife was unwell and we only stayed overnight and left before breakfast and the next day.
I was really disappointed by my stay here for work, the place was either being being renovated or all of the junk is clearly being stored in the stairwell above reception.
The rooms were very tired, the bathrooms particularly, but everything was functional, if a bit dated. The wonky plug sockets and wooden windows clearly showing that this place could do with a bit of love. The ivy on all of the marketing has been removed so it is definitely lacking in the charm department too.
I can't speak for the breakfast and the accompanying restaurant, but this hotel will do a job if it is your only option. If it works out cheaper than one of the chain hotels you could give it a try but next time I would definitely pay more to stay somewhere else.
Good location, clean, friendly. Didn’t use all the facilities as only there a short time.
Room was adequate if a little on the small size. A fan was supplied to help with the heat which was useful but made it a squeeze getting to the bathroom with the wire being a tripping hazard
The staff were great, a couple of things came up on arrival and they resolved straight away. The Indian restaurant was pleasant. The location was great for the park and Lido. Plenty of parking.
The vegan sausages were inedible and there were no vegan pastries or cereals available. So the vegan breakfast was hash browns., beans, mushrooms, tomatoes and dry toast (no vegan spread). Which is fine if you like those things but I wouldn't be able to list this as a vegan friendly breakfast place.
Quiet location. Lovely to have garden facilities especially with children. Plenty of space in the hotel.
Loads of car parking !
Room 20 - far too hot, soething in the hotal - boiler under the room ? - Bathroom facilities tiny !
The staff were very friendly and the bed was comfortable
There was mould on the grouting between the tiles. There was a shower curtain rail and hooks but no shower curtain. When I asked about a shower curtain, I was told they don’t have them, so gave me extra towels to mop up. The room was hot and noisy
