Bar area. Cleanliness location, friendly staff.
Single bed was a little cramped against the wall.
Friendly staff and I like a bath and shower
Nothing I dislike
Close to town and to the station, room is a good size, with ironing board and iron, tea/coffee available, kettle, seats and desk, nice size bathroom clean towels, toilet rolls, bath with shower overhead with shower and bath wash which was a nice surprise as wasnt expecting a bath, double bed was comfortable pillows were a little thin but personal preference, they were very clean as was all bedding. Room was cleaned daily when put a hanger on door got fresh linen and towels when needed. Breakfast was both continental and cooked, very nice spread lots of options with cold and hot drinks. Food itself very nice and the breakfast was filling. Staff was very polite always saw someone around to help.
On the booking.com website it did state a king or super king bed but got a small double but i found the hotels had been recently taken over so this may be an over sight that they need to change the booking.com information, Room was onto the carpark and been a lower ground felt the window although there was curtains and a net could of been frosted for a bit more privacy the only option to have the window open to let air in when hot, no fan in room, felt not comfortable leaving window open when out as there was nothing preventing anyone climbing in day or night, there was regular noise from cars etc which is normal during day but again at night found woken up by customers coming/going some quite noisey, and didnt help with having to have the window open, there was a red light constantly on through the night which shined directly at the window. Noise from a room above wasnt the hotels fault as is normal with an old building floors do creak but the person above seemed very active through the night to early hours very heavy footed and heavy doors could be heard throughout the corridors So sleep was quite an issue but not necessarily hotel to blame but more the patrons.
Excellent room, with a very comfortable bed.
Restaurant open late, this was great for us as we had been attending the Rik Mayall comedy festival.
Nice walk into town. Plenty of parking available.
Friendly members of staff.
Just an observation, a little weeding by the front door would make a huge difference.
Location.
Other guests being incredibly insensitive.
Hotel was clean people helpful
Noisy at night with other guests. To many stairs I struggled going up nearly 3 flights.
Room was big and comfy with nice shower
Breakfast didn't have gf bread and when we went for breakfast things were running out
Location
Unclear, rundown and have to pay extra £15 for breakfast
Nothing
Cold rooms with old sash windows where the noise and breeze come through. Although the bed was comfortable it was hard to get a good night's sleep. Could hear the guy below me snoring over the tv. Pre cooked sausages and bacon where cold. Lack of towels in the rooms. Only 1 member of staff on at a time. In the evening the male receptionist could not understand English. The hotel looks nothing like the pictures. Bare rundown and apparently been under refurb for over two years. I have officially nicked named thus hotel "The Cat Fish Hotel". And for your info these pictures are all from the predecessor. The hotel is now owned by Saram. I believe this to be an Indian company as it serves Indian food and includes Indian staff.
Breakfast was good and plentiful. The rooms were clean. The staff were friendly and helpful.
The rooms were perhaps a little tired but i was perfectly happy.
Very little
The photo on the web site had no resemblance to reality so much so that I went on to check I had the right location
A pleasant place to stay. Having an Indian restaurant in the hotel made for something different for dinner. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Great value bistro food and friendly staff
Nothing
Comfortable beds, great shower facilitys.
