St Andrews Town Hotel
During peak wedding season, there may be a disco on until 12 midnight, which may cause some disturbance to some bedrooms. Room service will be available.
Family rooms allow for a maximum of 2 extra beds in the room. There is no capacity for extra beds in other rooms. Most superior and standard rooms will accommodate a child’s travel cot. These are provided at no extra cost, subject to availability. Please contact the property to confirm.
When using satellite navigation, please use the postcode WR9 8BS, due to the approaching access roads.
A surcharge of GBP 10 applies for a late check out after 11.00.

My wife and I have stayed at St Andrews on two other occasions and the experience has always been excellent. Even on this occasion now that the hotel is under new management. Staff were very friendly and professional, check in was quick. the room was warm and comfortable, the morning breakfast was fantastic. The breakfast room deco, smart, very clean and tidy. Some areas of the hotel had been updated and refurbished which looked very good.
The original external facade of the hotel was always what attracted us to staying here, with hanging flowers baskets, and the Virginia creeper covering the elevations giving the building such a nice countryside character. I was shocked to find when we pulled into the carpark that this has been removed, such a shame. The grassed area around The room we stayed in was a family room. My only issue was a glass shelf in the bathroom was loose, and with us having our daughter with us i felt that wasn't safe. The WHB tap was loose as was the toilet roll holder. The temperature of the water was very hot, having hot water control valve would have been a good idea for a family room. We were also woken at 5.40am by the refuse lorry refusing near our window to collect the refuse.

It felt like the cleaning was substandard. Even though I could see the room had ben cleaned, ie the bed was made, there was layers of dust of door, window and skirtings and discolouration on walls or unpainted repairs in the room. Also looking out over the garden there was rubish, single use cups, lying on the lawn for my entire 3 night stay. It just felt tired and neglected.

Mattress was not great. Pillows were bad. Staff in bedroom making loads of noise late at night so didn’t sleep great.

This was booked on behalf of a colleague for a work trip. The staff were polite and helpful, and it was a nice location.
The TV fell off the wall in the morning, and no hot water was available for showers. Breakfast although nice, was very limited in options.
was easy to get to in and out, easy to access and even had tea on the table
bathroom was clean but walked in and floor was abit wet BUT it’s fine
