St Andrews Town Hotel

During peak wedding season, there may be a disco on until 12 midnight, which may cause some disturbance to some bedrooms. Room service will be available.

Family rooms allow for a maximum of 2 extra beds in the room. There is no capacity for extra beds in other rooms. Most superior and standard rooms will accommodate a child’s travel cot. These are provided at no extra cost, subject to availability. Please contact the property to confirm.

When using satellite navigation, please use the postcode WR9 8BS, due to the approaching access roads.

A surcharge of GBP 10 applies for a late check out after 11.00.

Pros:

Convenient location, great parking, excellent staff.

Cons:

Room was cool with a towel blocking a gap in the bathroom window.
I had one breakfast, intending to have more. While it was generous, it was barely lukewarm so I changed my breakfast plans for my stay.

Indian restaurant served really amazing food. .

Cons:

Kept having to ask for the door access card to be reset. Nobody mentioned keeping it away from my phone until about the 3rd time. I think it was reset 5 times.
The buffet breakfast was basically cold. The sausages and beans were barely even lukewarm, and the coffee was really weak.
Staircase was not hoovered on the 3 days we stayed.
Only one coat hanger in the wardrobe. No hooks on any door to hang up coat or dressing gown.

Basic but convenient
Pros:

The staff were very friendly and helpful.
It was convenient to have 2 restaurants on site

Cons:

One of our rooms had the heating stuck on full all night and one of the TV’s didn’t work.
The food was quite average.

The most amazing facial
Pros:

Visited here on a Monday afternoon with my friend we shared the afternoon tea, which was absolutely lovely. Sandwiches were fresh and cakes were nice, but the best bit was the facial by Tasha! She was brilliant, as this was my first she talked me through the process and the room was relaxing, she took her time and it was a really relaxing experience. I’d happily go back, thank you to the team and especially Tasha for a lovely time! We will be back

Very good overall - I will stay there again
Pros:

The room is very comfortable and so is the bed. Nice bathroom and shower, plenty of hot water.
Breakfast is excellent.

Cons:

Can't fault the hotel or the staff, however it was a shame the restuarant wasn't open on the evening I arrived. However the staff directed me to a pubic house 400 yards away.

Lovely time at Mothers 90th family buffet.
Pros:

We held my Mothers 90th birthday celebrations here and a lovely buffet was presented for us. Plenty of food and we all enjoyed a family get together. Room booked for the day so no pressure to leave.
Temperature warm which was good for the mature members.
Several of us stayed the night and rooms were comfortable and a great breakfast.

Disappointing stay.
Pros:

Warm room, comfortable bed. Friendly staff.

Cons:

Broken radiator in bathroom. Unable to safely access shower as no bath mat and no hand rail. No where in bathroom to hang clothes.
Both windows old sash single glazed, 1 not possible to secure.
No coat hook on door, only 1 clothes hanger.

Extremely noisy on Friday 21st due to wedding that disrupted sleep and continued into the mor with young people rushing around the hotel and banging on doors
