Oceanlife Explorers

This is, as the name say, a diving resort and it was scuba equipment all over. The pool seemed to be used for scuba training. So it’s not a relaxing resort but definitely a good one if you want to learn to scuba dive.

The place is really nice, about half way between the port and the main part of the city so it's very convenient. I did pick this place because of the in-room safe, however I wound up not using it as it was very small. The owners are extremely accommodating and were able to let us check in early. The bathroom is very large, though partially "outside" for a unique experience (but you might want to bring shower shoes for the rocks)!!

Lacking a couple things like fridge and I didn’t like the stone floor.

La porte vitrée qui sert d'accès à la chambre ne ferme pas, et de toute façon n'importe qui peut rentrer depuis la salle de bain qui est partiellement en plein air,
La déco des chambres,
La piscine : jolie, mais ne permet pas de nager.

Habitaciones amplias y comodas y limpias, sitio tranquilo pero bien ubicado (en la carretera pral).
Quisimos ir a Apo Island con ellos pero no coincidimos en los días que ellos hacen la excursion...

Excelente hotel, ótima opção para mergulhadores, café da manhã incluso, servem refeições deliciosas no almoço e jantar. Funcionários atencioso e gentis, destaque para a tripulação e o DM Pedro.

Beautiful well maintained spacious bungalows. Great swimming pool and even a crows nest to watch the sunset! But most of all amazing staff that go out of their way to make your stay comfortable.
If I would return to Siquijor I would definitely stay here again

This place is amazing. The management and staff make you feel like family. The rooms are clean and new with excellent AC, Satellite TV with HBO, and a wonderful bathroom. The restaurant is excellent, reasonably priced, and the free breakfast is made to order. The motorbike rental was very reasonable. They even offer a free fish spa! The Scuba Diving was amazing with a large, safe boat with a very helpful crew and a knowledgeable guide. This is the best place that I stayed in my month of Traveling and Diving in the Philippines. I highly recommend.

Très bon séjour resort convivial avec un staf très sympa et à l'écoute des clients on est très bien reçus bungalows confortables avec une douche a l'air libre près de siquijor et des plages un grand merci à Ivy à la réception à manuel à son épouse et à l'ensemble du staf le meilleur de nôtre voyage aux Philippines on aimerait revenir une prochaine fois Francisco et Michele de Paris

as divers, we liked the comfort of arranging our dive days right at the hotel. the hotel was very clean, the rooms spacious, new, well kept; the breakfast service was great. we also ended up eating there often for lunch and dinner and we enjoyed their menu and food. Thumbs up all around. Manuel and the staff was very accommodating in terms of motorcycle rentals, and site and restaurant suggestions. My friend and I really enjoyed our stay and we almost wished we had planned on staying longer but we went on to explore other islands and did more diving, also following Manuel's suggestions.

Had a great stay at Oceanlife Explorers! Thought it was on the beach and a little bit dissapointed when I found out that that wasn’t the case. They provided free transfer to the very nice beach nearby. The kindness and helpfulness of the staff perfectly made up for the lack of beach. The pool was fantastic, they provide diveschool and fun dives at very reasonable prices, I didn’t have the opportunity to go though. The place is fairly new and seems well run, nice bungalows, hammocks, ‘feet-eating fish’:-) and good food also very reasonably priced.

Made a quick reservation, checked in with friendly staff, dinner and breakfast was excellent. The pool felt nice. The hotel also offered me other services such as taxi, ferry tickets and diving. Hotel seems to have been built very recently.

Jeg blev virkelig overrasket over stedet. Troede at det ville være småt og snusket, men min overbevisning blev virkelig gjort til skamme!
Værelserne er rene, god størrelse, omgivelserne er hyggelige, poolen er skøn, og aldrig har jeg mødt så søde og imødekommende mennesker.
Det er uden tvivl et sted jeg vil vende tilbage til når lejligheden byder sig.

Sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter, die auch Sonderwünsche erfüllen. Anlage sehr gepflegt, alles funktioniert. Einladender Pool. Für mich das schönste Badezimmer (Oben halb offen, Pflanzen, große Ablage, großer Spiegel und gute Beleuchtung) aller unserer bisherigen Unterkünfte auf den Philippinen. Bestes Internet + Wifi bislang von mehreren besuchten Inseln und Hotels. Qualitativ hochwertiges Essen, mit guter Auswahlmöglichkeit. Großes Tauchboot, dort gibt es verschiedenen Getränke und Früchte zwischen den Tauchgängen. Ausgezeichnetes Tauch-Equipment + Tauchguide.

OceanLife is een nieuw hotel (2017) en heeft momenteel maar 4 ruime kamers. Momenteel (December 2017) is er op de kamers nog geen koelkastje, maar die komen spoedig volgens de eigenaar. De kamers zijn keurig en schoon, en vooral ruim. Er is een zitje, zowel binnen als op het terras (tafeltje met 2 bamboo stoelen of een bankje). Het bed slaapt heerlijk en de kussens zijn goed. Er zijn voldoende wandcontact punten om apparatuur op te laden. De badkamer is openlucht en erg mooi. Er is doorgaans veel druk op de waterleiding en water wordt heerlijk warm. Echter, bij stroomuitval op Siquijor (gebeurt met regelmaat!), is de druk van de waterleiding weg en is er geen water. Het noodsysteem levert een zwakke druk, en koud water. Houdt hier rekening mee omdat het hotel momenteel nog geen noodgenerator bezit. Rondom zwembad zijn hangmatten. Er is geen schaduw bij het zwembad, parasols ontbreken. De bar/restaurant levert eten en drinken tegen schappelijke prijzen. Gasten kunnen een rekening maken en bij check-out in 1x afrekenen. In December 2017 is betaling met creditcard nog niet mogelijk maar in de toekomst wordt dit opgelost. Op Siquijor zijn slechts 4 geldautomaten die soms ook niet werken, houdt er rekening mee, breng voldoende cash mee voordat je aankomt. Vanwege de ligging van het hotel (rustige locatie aan hoofdweg) moet je voor enig vertier een stukje rijden. Wifi Signaal is doorgaans slecht. 3G/4G bereik is slecht. Ga voor beter bereik naar hoofdweg.
