Close to the market with lots of food choices. Not so close to the beach.

I’m so happy with our stay at Starlight resort!
The staff was so friendly, really good at English and just very helpful with everything.
The room was very clean and the shower amazing! And just very quiet during the nights.

I had a very enjoyable stay here, beds were comfortable. Rooms clean. They were enough facilities in the room. Bathrooms are good size and everything worked well. I would recommend staying here.

A great spot if you’re swimming and diving all day and just want a place to rest your head at night. But amenities are unfortunately not as stated. There’s no Wifi in the rooms despite what the website says, and the Wifi in the public area doesn’t work.

Also, I took my backpack on an excursion with me one day, so the cleaning staff assumed I had left altogether. They removed my other belongings and gave my room to someone else even though I had reserved it for 3 more nights. An honest mistake, but I was very confused about why this happened.

The place was great! I loved the hammocks in the entry. Good AC. I only wish the hot water worked.

Ich war im Hotel, als der Taifun Ursula hereinbrach.
Zwei Tage kein Strom oder Netz auf der Intel.

Trotzdem fühlte ich mich im starlight sehr sicher und abgesehen davon empfand ich das Hotel als sehr angenehm, wenn man auf den direkten Strand verzichten kann und fünf Minuten Fußweg dahin verkraftet.

The best part about this place is the location, away from the coast opposite the market, right in the middle of REAL island life

Mitten av allt, nära till allt det vill säga. Tyst i och med dem har stor mark in undan lixom med hög buskage runt om, fantastisk personal, dem serverade inte frukost under den tiden 2v vi var där pga det var lite ont om råvaror just då. Men det finns hur mycket runt om som helst, bra dykning på ön, glada öbor, många fattiga i lokalbefolkningen, många skadade/sjuka hundar och det mest negativa med ön är Alla dessa tuppar som skriker, tuppfäktning är deras största nöje där, 2 gånger i veckan hålls det. Stränderna och badvänligheten är bäst på väst sidan och norr, södra är mest båtar/dyk öst är fattigt, inga turister typ och stränderna är fulla med båtar.

Fordeler:
- Fint rom med balkong. Personalet ordnet om sengen til en dobbeltseng selv om vi hadde bestilt rom med enkeltsanger noe vi likte godt
- Praktisk dusj med varmt vann
- Ikke så langt unna stranden
- Hyggelig personale som var veldig behjelpelige. Vi fikk bli en ekstra natt selv om det i utgangspunktet var fullt

Ulemper:
- Vi hadde noen katter utenfor rommet som skreik og bråkte hele natten
- De kunne utnyttet det store uteområdet bedre! Hadde vært fint med noen planter og blomster.

Lovely hotel. The staff were very helpful. Especially a lady named grace. She was extremely helpful. Location was good.

Nice young lady at reception every day.. room was as described. No television or fridge but that didnt bother us. Nice area with the locals around. Security guard on the gate at nite. Was a very pleasant comfortable stay. No Atm on island at all.

The room was comfortable and clean with aircon at competitive price.
The host was very helpful, and friendly, and they have a communal kitchen if you want to prepare your own breakfast.
The rooms could do with some cupboard space or hooks to hang things up on, but there plenty of drying space outside for wet swimming gear.
The location is just a hundred metres in from the beach, although paths are generally sandy so not suitcase-friendly (and easier with a backpack).

With Boracay closed, Malapascua has been getting more trade, but it is no substitute for Boracay.

great place to stay

The place is amazing, one of the bests in Malapascua that are not incredibly expensive. The staff was very friendly, the overall experience was very good. The room is big, with a beautiful terrace and with a good and silent aircon machine.
