Owner was great, property a little isolated but grab easy

We had an amazing stay at this hotel. It was really well situated in center ubud but still secluded enough from the street. The room was immaculate and the staff super friendly. It was a lovely oasis in town with a magnificent pool. On our last day some noisy guest arrived and we realized that room wasn’t soundproof (just for your info if it’s something that bothers you, but we were perfectly fine with this since the rest was so good)

It was great stay for two nights in Jani's Place Cottage. Staffs are very welcoming and ready to help me out for antything. I accidentally left a few personal items at room, but fortunately, I had the chance to return and retrieve my luggage—and was relieved to find everything I had misplaced. One thing I was a bit sad is that the pool area is not really open to sunlight so if you are considering to have a sun-bathing, maybe less change you get.

Jani's was a great place to stay! I read the excellent reviews and decided to book, and I'm glad I did. We had a group of 7 people across 4 rooms and were lucky to have rooms 9, 10, 11, and 12. The rooms were at the back, away from the road, and all balconies overlooked the beautiful pool. The staff were all so lovely, always saying good morning and helping with anything at all. We had an issue with the aircon in room 11 on the first night but they fixed it the next day and it worked perfectly after that. Jani's is so close to great restaurants, an easy walk to Monkey Forrest (about 15 minutes) and has a pharmacy and Coco's supermarket close by too. I'd definitely stay here again. Thanks Jani's!

The friendly staff

Jani's Cottage is a great place to stay in Ubud. Its a small property that is perfect for a small group of people travelling together. The staff are fantastic. Great restaurants nearby (Ivy, Portofino, Goosh). Great value for money. Will definitely stay here when I return to Ubud.

excellent place to stay and very helpful

Mt room was very clean and cosy. There were complimentary coffee tea and bottled water, kettle was clean. The pharmacy and supermarket are just around the corner. The staff are friendly. The lobby is beautiful. The walls are a bit thin so it can be somewhat noisy with band music and crowds from the surrounding restaurants. It generally quiet down before midnight. Personally I welcome the noises as I am a sole traveller and need some background noise to sleep.

This was my second time to stay at this hotel, I just love it, the rooms are really clean and have everything that you could want. The breakfast has great variety, the staff are so helpful and friendly.(especially Maddy. )

Nice excellent comfy bedroom with all facilities, breakfast was amazing.
except noisy from the roadside make sleep a kind of difficult. Staff were friendly and helpful, also afternoon tea was fabulous.

Coffee was awfull and we had room facing the street therefore a bit of noise.
Everything else was absolutely perfect, would definitely stay there again

Comfy bed, breakfast was awesome and beautifully plated (choose from 5 menu choices), room was kept clean, overall 5-star service from hotel staff.
However, there is live music from neighboring establishments, not the fault of the hotel, just a consideration for people who sleep early.

The location of the hotel was excellent, near to many restaurants and the monkey forest. The room was clean and quite modern, AC was fine. We were given two bottles of spring water every day per person. Breakfast was very good and we had so many options to choose from. The pool was very nice and the staff even nicer. The only downside of the hotel was the fact that the speed of internet was horrible, it sometimes worked a bit better but most of the time it was almost unusable. And we didn’t like the fact that they used a lot of fragrance in the room, many customers are sensitive to strong artificial smells. Some noises can be heard to the room.

We were allocated to Room 3 for our stay at Jani Hotel. The room was very clean, wonderful spacious, and nicely setup with a huge balcony overlooking the pool. The staff is very friendly, very courteous and ready to go extra mile.
We like Jani’s Place Cottage simply because of it's location which just perfect for our family, it’s close to many great cafes and restaurants.

The only problem is water heating system! On the second day, all 4 rooms that we booked do not have not water for bathing. We complained to the staff and was told to wait a while for the hot water. After waiting for 30 minutes, the most we got was warm water for bathing.

Totally enjoyed my stay with a wonderful team of supportive staff. Really felt at home in the family room.
