Pros:

No room as hotel not contracted to expedia any longer
Put up in a twin room for one night with shared bathroom insread of the double ensuite with sea view which was booked almost 11 month previously
Breakfast not great either but staff were friendly and tried their best to help

Pros:

They couldn’t find my booking when I arrived. When I was taken to my room, the door was already open and some damp towels were laid on the floor holding the door. The French doors didn’t shut or lock. There were no towels in the bathroom (presume these were the ones on the floor!). People sat in the lounge downstairs with log burner with doors open which was putting fumes through the hotel. I decided to go to another hotel as it was shocking. Never stay here!

For the price it was ok. Dont expect it to be The Ritz. Breakfast was good. Great location for the pubs and restaurants

Opportunity to improve
Pros:

The location is good with free on-street parking (off season) and a small car park associated with the hotel itself. Breakfast is not a buffet breakfast, the staff / owner take orders. Our room was somewhat cold unless we switched on an electric fan heater which was noisy. The bathroom was en-suite but was not great. It had been poorly partitioned from the larger room and had a macerator type toilet and plumbing which was somewhat noisy when used. The bathroom was also carpeted (not a good idea in my view) and smelt strongly of bleach. This did not fully mask the other unfortunate smells that had seeped into the slightly damp carpet.
Although the breakfast offering was a set English breakfast rather than a buffet, the food was well prepared and the staff were friendly.
The location is right by the beach and our room had a great outlook.

Interesting parking
Pros:

Breakfast is 9 to 10 but they did let me have mine at 8.
Parking a bit difficult at the back you have to either reverse down or out I'd they little space
