Nice stay overall
Pros:

I overall liked my stay. Friendly staff.

Cons:

Breakfast could do with some fruit, not just prepackaged cereals, there were some odd choices in the breakfast menu (like mushrooms that cannot be served without garlic?) or that there is no hot water urn for tea but rather just a small thermos etc.

Prettig hotel in “old english style”.
Pros:

Goed hotel met goede service. Verlengsnoer werd meteen geregeld. Restaurant prima. Leuke ouderwetse sfeer in het hotel.

Cons:

Amazing dog-friendly getaway in the heart of Dartmoor
Pros:

The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us and our dog - even bringing our pooch sausages for breakfast. We couldn't have asked for a more welcome reception.

Fantastic hotel in a great location
Pros:

We had a fantastic stay. The hotel is old and characterful and beautifully maintained. We stayed in the separate Mews building, which was tastefully decorated and just a very short walk from the main hotel. Excellent location for walking and exploring Dartmoor and very dog friendly. Our evening meal at the hotel was delicious.

Cons:

Nothing

Cons:

The hotel is absolutely unsuitable for people with fur allergies. Some of the rooms have ancient carpets and upholstered furniture, as do the bar and restaurant. There was a lot of dog hair, and it smelled strongly of wet dog.
