The bedroom was very comfortable, the bar and outside seating area was pleasant. The breakfast was excellent.
Lovely home made shortbread in the room.
The fan provided in the room was cheap and noisy.
There was no walk in shower.
The bedroom window frames were old and rotten and required repairs
Quiet village location ideal as stopover. Good food. Friendly atmosphere. Comfortable room.
Nothing
Location edge of Dartmoor moor
Breakfast very good selection
Could have given more beans
Sauces not readily available
Fruit juice & yoghurts superb
Bed comfortable and very clean room
Toiletries really nice
Homemade biscuits & quality teas and coffee.
Allowing dogs in the breakfast room.
I know it was exceptional hot weather the room was very hot and very difficult to cool down With no air on and fans did not work.
Climbing over the bath having to hold the toilet to get in and out for a shower. Not what I expected to do. Very dangerous for older people.
Carpet in the hotel worn.
Pipe going across the top step going to the room I was worried I would knock it.
Comfortable traditional country hotel. A lovely relaxed nd welcoming ambience.
Staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful. Great being able to take my dog and the welcome pack for her was very thoughtful. We had dinner both evenings which was delicious . The rooms are very nice, super comfortable bed. The parking was very near and reasonable. Excellent butchers, pasty was one of the nicest I had had for a long time, nice little grocers as well. Great base for exploring.
Moretonhampstead itself is a bit run down.
Fantastic room, great food
Great food and helpful staff
fantastic dinner and breakfast.
wonderfully dog friendly hotel
great customer service throughout.
highly recommend and will definitely be back to stay again. thank you
I didn't have time to stay longer!

Super lamb curry for supper and great cooked breakfast - tasty and very efficient and pleasant service. Excellent and friendly bar
All great
Clean rooms and comfortable bed. Cozy lounge and bar. Excellent breakfast. And friendly, helpful staff.
Nothing significant, but the bath with shower over was rather tight, with limited headroom.
Extremely friendly staff, great breakfast and nice lounge and bar. Very dog friendly too.
Mortenhampstead is a lovey little town great village shop Zero, beautiful church and fantastic gallery.
Breakfast at the hotel was nice , staff helpful. Beds were OK, very hot, but couldn't open the window because of the street noise.
Nice white towels..
The White Hart is in the centre of town and it was very noisy in the room. Room 6, probably the worst room in the hotel. No view as I'd expected, just loads of noise from the traffic outside right on the junction, it was really intense, althoughit did calm down overnight.
For the price £140 a night, I expected much better.
Bathroom was up two high steps, and the door knob was unpleasantly grubby and sticky, ventilation was.. open the moldy window onto the street.
Dinner was steak and ale pie, i had to hunt for the steak and their recommended Merlot was rubbish.
The property is centrally located and well appointed. The lounge and bar area are comfortable, the food is delicious and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly.
