Momento Golden Horn Hotel

Excellent location for exploring the city, plenty within walking distance and very close to the tram to Sultanahmet and the funicular to Istikal. Rooms are small, but a great choice if you plan to be out in the city most of the time.

Clean room. A little small. Perfect location for accessing tourist destinations. Very helpful staff. Highly recommended.

I booked as I was swayed by the fabulous reviews. Very disappointed on arrival by the “sea view” that I had paid extra for. Nothing like the photo which was taken on level 7. Website photos are definitely misleading. Great big old building obstructing the view. Other comments about this have been buried under all the “10/10” reviews. Room was very average and was clean. Location convenient.

A lovely hotel, wonderful reception staff, everything needed in the room and a really nice breakfast. A lovely chef made the omelettes and I wanted to thank her for her amazing service and smile. The reception team were very helpful and arranged all our trips. Great value.

Expensive wine though. £10 a glass but at least it could be consumed in a lovely bar and restaurant with amazing views.

Hotellet ligger centralt. Super lækker morgenbuffet. Hotellet har kun 1 elevator, som er meget brugt af såvel gæster som personale. Der er kun 1 stikkontakt på værelset bortset fra elkedlens. Værelsets køleskab kølede svagt. Høfligt og venligt personale.

We stayed 3 nights and found the hotel was in a great location for public transport, dining and access to popular tourist spots such as Galata Tower and the Spice Market. Breakfast was included with a nice variety. Staff were lovely.

Mycket nöjd med boendet ska definitivt bo här vid nästa resa hit. Frukosten åt vi i restaurangen på 8:e våningen med en fantastisk utsikt över stan. Underbart!

There are so many options when it comes to Istanbul, but I would choose this one again. It is very convenient to local transportation and the port. The front desk staff went above and beyond during my stay. When I said I preferred two beds they had housekeeping in the room before I even got up there. When I was struggling to get an Uber/taxi the bell hop personally got one for us and struck a deal, so we could get where we needed. They were extremely attentive and responsive. The rooms were awesome and big for a European city. The breakfast was extensive. I also appreciated the elevator had key card security which made me feel much safer. Furthermore, in the bathroom they provided all the basics including a toothbrush and toothpaste kit. would 100% recommend this hotel during a stay in Istanbul.

Hotel OK - good location. Don't book / pay extra for room with sea view though - did this and i was on 4th floor, all i can see is the building in front of me vs skyline. Called the manager / receptionist to rectify it but the only reason was hotel full booked (guys then dont sell the room) although i see people from 7th floor checking out.
Also they dont mind calling you at 11pm (oupsie) to offer taxi service incase you need it for the checkout. 11pm!!!! luckily i was alone and not with my baby, i would be so livid. the only nice thing is the service in restaurant, very smily.

Fantastischer Aufenthalt – absolut empfehlenswert! Ich hatte das Vergnügen, einige Tage in diesem wunderbaren Hotel zu verbringen, und bin rundum begeistert. Die Lage ist ausgezeichnet, perfekt für Erkundungen in der Umgebung. Die Zimmer sind makellos sauber und bieten hohen Komfort. Ein gutes Frühstücksbuffet – eine vielfältige Auswahl mit einer traumhaften Aussicht, die den Start in den Tag besonders macht.
Ein großes Lob geht an das Personal, insbesondere Sinan, der durch seine freundliche und aufmerksame Art den Aufenthalt noch angenehmer gemacht hat. Ein Hotel, in das ich jederzeit gerne zurückkehre!

Hi what a great hotel this was perfect location. The staff were amazing especially front off house, Sinan was so helpful nothing too much trouble. Also in the restaurant and coffee shop what a great team you have. I was there for work and would recommend to any one for business or pleasure.

We enjoyed magnificent views of Istanbul and the harbour life from our room on the 7th floor. The breakfast was superb, the staff super helpful. Thank you!

The hotel located is very good. It's located between old town and new town. Close to all transportations. Breakfast was very delicious. Food is fresh. The only complaint was the hair dryer didn't work properly. If you use it for 1 minute and try to turn it back on, it didn't work. You'll have to wait 5 minutes for it to work again. Contact the receptionist. Wa told to wait till the next morning. The hotel should have a spare hair dryer just in case the wall unit doesn't work instead of having the customer wait till the next morning for the repairs with wet hair.

Business type hotel in very handy location-you can walk across Galata bridge to Sultanamet or stroll Karakoy easily.
Staff are pleasant and were helpful for booking airport shuttle.

Das Hotel liegt sehr praktisch direkt an der Galatabrücke, an einer sehr belebten Strasse. Die SchallschutzFenster funktionieren aber gut. Der Blick von der Dachterasse ist super. Das Bett war sehr bequem, das Zimmer und Bad sehr sauber, das Personal immer sehr zuvorkommend.
Das Frühstücksbuffet ist sehr vielfältig und lecker.
Wir würden immer wieder kommen, Vielen Dank für alles!

I stayed at double tree Hilton hotel in the same trip. With the same price i had a much bigger room on the highest floor and sea view. It had free pool and gym. It was next to the Kadikoy iskele and near the metro station. We had a bath tub in the shower. The wifi in the momento hotel was awful with slow speed. The breakfast was not good and the barista served coffee and milk instead of espresso with milk when you ordered cappuccino. The juices where artificial. And the water bottle was not refilled for the room every day. The staff got a taxi for us and the driver ruined our day with his behavior. I don’t suggest this hotel to anyone else.
