cleanest room, friendly staff, although it takes a while to check in and out

Very poor quality

I stay here with my family for 3days during April 2025. The hotel Aida is good choice due to its central location, easy access to many city attractions, and shopping (including lulu mall).

Friendly staff, attentive service, car parking assistance (EV charging satation) make your stay a comfortable and memorable one.
Overall hospitality experience includes spacious and spotless rooms with fully wooden finishing and ambient lights. Inside restaurant, there is outhouse bistro hotel, which includes both chinese and thai cuisine and the most food we eat are decent and reasonable price.

It would be good if they sort out the frequent power cut issue. It may be due to hot summer season, when I visited.

Very poor service! Disappointed. Though they have renovated the rooms, it looks good but the service is very poor. Booked 3 rooms for 2 nights. In one room AC
was not working and we complained almost 5 times and nothing done!

Even the restaurant once famous for good food now I regret going there. Food is oily and can sense its re-used oil.

At last, a comfortable hotel stay just in the heart of the town ! I had given up on finding such a thing — after having viewed so many options on the site. But Aida was a pleasant experience after a long journey, here's a place to go for a comfortable & hospitable vacation stay, with delicious meals served at the Theos restaurant (you have both options of buffet for breakfast and /or a la carte for lunch, dinner). The service is prompt, reliable, rooms are very clean, appealing and functional. I travelled to Kottayam on the 15 Nov till 18 Nov (3 nights stay), family of 3 and we loved every bit of the stay at Aida. I highly recommend the hotel.

this is a very good hotel And, given its price, its an excellent hotel. There were interesting fluctuations in the electric power supply and our room (101) had quite a lot of traffic noise. But the shower was good. The bed was reasonably comfortable and breakfast was OK. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Was on a single day work trip. Needed super early check in. They did everything they could and made it happen. It was probably an exception, but I appreciated it, all the same.

We enjoyed the stay here.

The restaurant staff is terrible. Prawns ularthu was inedible and given back, still charged with no response. The starters were good especially the honey chicken. Mains were okay. Room for massive improvement especially restaurant service

Check in was easy though I confirmed the stay a day prior.
Reception personnel on duty at night of checkin was good and cordial. Next duty man was harsh and rude to guests . Complimentary breakfast was good in quality though with meagre options. Check out was bit in haste though I had requested a late check out on payment time itself as i was a single lady with luggage and had to leave before schedule

We were impressed with the hygiene and hospitality of the hotel. We came here today to have just breakfast. Highly recommended, tasty food, and everything was delicious. I would love to stay here sometime soon. The price is also reasonable. Good choice, I must say !!!

Ok for a night. Basic room, friendly service. Shower was hopeless! Nice meal in Theo’s restaurant attached to the property.

We stayed at Hotel Aida twice, in December of 2022. The hotel is great with excellent staff , very nice, clean and spacious rooms and two great restaurants. The buffet breakfast was awesome, as well. The staff at Aida was very friendly and knowledgeable, and always ready to assist. The hotel is situated in a prime and center location, in the town of Kottayam. This makes it very convenient to go out and about, in Kottayam. All in all , a top class experience indeed! We will definitely be back, to stay at Hotel Aida!

Good clean

From March 2022 I have been staying in Aida for three or four days at a stretch. Latest stay was from 27th June until 2nd July 2022. I found Aida to be a be a clean and well maintained hotel. The staff are very guest friendly and do their best to make ones stay safe and comfortable. The free breakfast they provide residents is excellent.
Special mention must be made of Rijo who made sure I always got 304 and also arranged early check in and late check out during every visit. Aida is not new but constant upgrades has allowed it to outshine the modern newbies in Kottayam.
Aida is a great place to stay for those visiting Kottayam on business or leisure.

Staying at AIDA with family can be a best choice hospitality of staff make us feel home. Food is delicious and ambience is much as you expect. For Celebrations AIDA is excellent selection. So next time if you stay in kottayam choose AIDA

We live in USA. When we visited the restaurant, I’ve never experienced customer service from any other hotels like Hotel Aida. It was amazing and food was delicious. Manager (Ajeesh Nair) was with us the whole time making sure that we get the service that a customer should receive. I definitely recommend this restaurant and will be back if I get a chance.

I visited and stayed overnight at hotel Aida on the 26th of December.I had great hopes and expectations about the food as I used to like the food at their restaurant. I was in for a shock on the morning of 27th when I went to have their complimentary breakfast. It was nowhere near a compliment to be served that.We were seved kallu dosa with chutney, cut pineapple, bread and omelette as per request. Having travelled quite a lot I've had my fair share of complimentary breakfast buffets, but I can say for a fact that this was the worst one I've ever had. It was better not to have served anything at all rather than insulting the guests in such a manner.If we can afford to pay 4000 rupees for a room, I'm sure they can afford to give better food.

I spent 7 days in quarantine in early March 2020. I only have good things to say. I had a junior suite which has a nice living area, a good sized and comfortable bedroom and an updated bathroom. The staff are very responsive and courteous and the food is excellent. The menu is mostly Malayalee cuisine, but then again, you are in the heartland and so enjoy it while you are here. The staff were careful with covid-related protocols, but were happy to help me with little things such as getting me some fruit from the market, and getting me some over the counter medicines etc. All in all, a really pleasant and easy stay. My room faced the street and so there is a bit of noise during the day, but it does get quiet at night, and the windows are tinted and so it does keep out the extra light during the day.

I had chosen to serve my Quarantine days (+7 days) due to Covid 19 at Aida Hotel in Kottayam which is an eminent and a historical brand to the residents of Kottayam & Thiruvalla region. Few points that I thought would be of help:

1. Booking: You could contact reception or Mr. Rijo directly. You will be breifed of the procedures in simple terms and its hassle free. Note: I had contacted other Hotels in the region and they made me feel impossible while after talking to Team at Aida (esp. Mr. Rijo) I was confident to stay at AIDA during the most difficult times of Covid-19. The Team understands the risks of the Covid Virus whilst confident of the In House precautionary measures and briefs it to customers clearly.

2. Precautions: All staff wear masks continously. Gloves and face guard is worn when necessary. Rooms are deep cleansed with different chemicals. Remote Control units are sanitised and covered with Plastic. Mattress is covered with plastic. Toilets were perfect and sanitised. Residents are strictly monitored (for daily body temperature) and are not allowed to leave their room for 7 Days. 5 stars for the efforts and I would whole heartedly recommend your stay at AIDA.

3. Assistance: AIDA team has thought about everything. They will brief you about your Quarantine Stay in advance; so its not a surprise for you. You are on yourself while TEAM AIDA is there to assist you at a safe distance. (a) Laundry care: New Bucket and a Pack of Washing Powder is provided to manage your own Laundry (b) Wash your plates (Treated and Sanitised plates and crockery is provided) (c) Hand wash and all necessary housekeeping will be replenished on a daily or on call basis.(d) Trash cans and ample bags are provided, you will only need to tie a knot and leave the filled bag filled with trash outside your door. (e) Newspapers will be provided (avoid it for your own safety) (f) Plates, Crockery, Towels, Kettle, Coffee, Tea and fridge is also provided

Note: All deliverables will be placed outside your room in a container and the resident will be alerted with a door bell; to fulfill Zero Contact delivery or exchange,

(4) After 7 days Quarantine you will have to go and test yourselves for COVID virus in Private or Government labs. You cannot use the Elevator for Safety reasons.

(5) Food is provided on advance order basis.

(6) I carried my own Coffee mug, disposable glass, plates and spoons. I used my own bed sheet, pillow cover, towels, soaps. Aida provides them all too. They provide 2 bottles of water every day. You could carry mineral water carton with you to save as each extra bottle of water costs Rs30. However they are considerate.

(7) Excellent, Safe and Covered Car park. Internet is unlimited & free though a little annoying as each voucher is 1.5GB (reinds me of the Coin Telephone booth)
